I was thinking of upgrading the sound system of my Duster RXL 110 PS for quite some times. I am not a techno wizard when it comes to electronics. All I wanted was "dhin-chak" system which gives enough thump inside the cabin and partially outside the cabin.

With this thought I visited my trusted Sector 14 Gurgaon accessory shop who gave me the following deal:

1. Amplifier Ground Zero 4115HPX- rs. 4000
2. JBL sub-woofer (base tube) CS1215B Series- rs.6500
3. JBL GTO 649C (440 watts) speakers- rs. 5500
4. Wires etc- rs. 1000
Total amount paid was Rs. 17000

Result: Mighty impressed with the sound clarity, the base, the mid-range. I dont know weather I have paid more for all this but I am really satisfied with what I have got in terms of sound quality

Yes, the drain hole has been reused. I am not very technical when it comes to wiring part. All I could understand was that the wires were attached to the wires of cabin light which are inside the door i believe. When the door is opened the Ghost light illuminates (same way as the cabin light illuminates on opening the door).
I have not taken pictures of DRL installaion. Maybe I will post some pics someday when someone who I know plans to get the DRLs installed.

I need a loud one for my runs.
Which one should I opt for?

You should be able to directly swap the OE horns with regular horns. Check Hella Red Grille's or Roots Vibrasonic or similar.

4.8K was for head lamp assembly.
Diesel Filter 1.5K
Front bumper 6.2K.

Hi Friends.... Planning to buy a SUV like vehicle. finalized... Its between Duster and EcoSport. need your suggestions on making a decision. And please put Fuel Economy figures of Duster 85PS and also the EcoSport's.

Look for EcoSport versus Renault Duster thread.

Duster 85ps gives around 13 in bumper to bumper city drive. Light footing on highway can see upwards of 20kpl. Based on my taco readings. Haven't done full tank to full tank test yet. Will do that after first service in normal driving style.

The choice depends on what you want from the vehicle. Best is to make a checklist of your requirements that you can't live without. Then go out and compare.

Personally I feel good about the Duster when comparing to SUVs.

That is good move. But we need to see how a small correction in the price going to impact the sale. Because the actual price difference between the EcoSport and Duster (similar variants) is in lakhs.

By the way a small correction. I think you omitted a "1" in the following statement, "The Duster RxZ 110 (Option Pack) without the rear AC unit is priced at 5.10 lakh rupees, on-road Bangalore. ". It is 15.10 lakhs right?.

Price correction in 6K. I wonder if they will replace the unit for that much if it broke.

^^ seems like the intention was to make even more money rather than rationalize price. Remove a feature costing say 10K and drop prices by 6K effectively make even more profit.

I am wondering what made Renault guys remove the rear AC when they know the front AC is not atall effective if we compare it with Marutis and Hyundais.
I have 110 PS Rxl and the AC is not atall effective even on highest speed (4). The other day only I was speaking to Renault SA if there is an option now to install rear AC. And today this absurd news of removing rear AC option will be a jolt to many prospective buyers especially in northern part of India.
