Talk to them, and don't forget to mention that you have coating on your car already. (isn't that right?) because they usually remove any coating/wax from the car body before application.
Hi EP,

Thank you for your initial feedback.
I think I am slowly leaning towards it.

Yes, I applied ceramic coating 18 months back (1 coat only) & I feel that some coating is still left on door panels.

Will certainly inform them prior application.

Cheers

re: BMW 320d & 328i (F30) : Official Review

Guys, has anyone tried to disable the EGR valve on an f30 320d?
Or for that matter on any of the other BM diesels.
I am assuming it will have to be done via a remap/chip.

Possible with remap and not with any chip. Also you can put an EGR blanking plate but very likely to throw up check engine light.

The new B series engines with a Bosch ecu have encrypted firmware and are a pain. No one has a remap for them yet .

Thanks guys, mine is a 2013 model but I dont know what software it has.

I have 3 Mahindra crde /di engines I have done EGR disable for and the results are great. Simple fix.

I have been searching the net without much joy.
Online forums mention a 'DPF', if this is there apparently disabling EGR is not recommended.

The BMW N47 will be a bit more complicated than the Mahindra Crde. I would not suggest you take the same approach as the Mahindra in anything engine related to the BMW.

You can get a good tuning box, or a remap or even the M performance power kit for a good power bump.

Haven't seen any 330i in the flesh, nor any review in India. Found only one review online (courtesy Motortrend.com) that praises its engine-transmission mating, but says handling remains below par compared to competition.

The new 2019 model will surely address this.

I've sold my 320d Sportline, and will be looking at the new model then.

This is the reason for manufacturers not bringing their petrol variants here, as per the major dealerships in Mumbai the petrol only accounts for 15% of the overall sales and thats the reason even allocations are less

I drive a 2017 330i here in US and my love for BMW has gone a notch above after driving this beast.

The feeling when you are pushed all the way back to your seat is an amazing experience. My car has the staggered setup with MSport suspension (Not adaptive), which makes the ride more planted and stable.

My guess is this is going to change quickly. My 530i gives almost 9 -10kmpl in city driving, and runs on normal petrol, which is not so much more expensive than diesel ( maybe 10 Rs. More per litre). I get an incredibly smooth and quiet drive, exceptional acceleration and high speed manners. Finally, I don't have to worry about the emissions related issues and the potential of the vehicle being made end of life after say 10 years by an act of government, resulting in steep fall in value.

re: BMW 320d & 328i (F30) : Official Review

BMW India, seems to have discontinued the Sportline series on the 3 series diesel. It has been replaced/ downgraded by the new so called Edition Sport. The main changes in the Edition Sport vis-a-vis Sportline are: 1) No navigation. 2) Smaller I drive. 3) No leather seats. 4) The addition of a rear parking camera which wasn't there on the Sportline.

Also, for me the saddest part is that the choice of Melbourne Red is not there anymore across the 3 series range.

They've also added front sensors on the luxury line, and reverse camera on the edition sport and luxury. But not on the M sport. I find this completely retarded, unless of course there is a mistake in their spec sheet.

Looks like I(and a bunch of other bhpians) got lucky with the sportline, and that too in red.

Totally agree. I wanted to get my X3 in Petrol, but BMW had discontinued Petrol's and offered only the Diesel. For my next upgrade, I am definitely going for petrol.
