Jumpstart using my friend's car battery, it started at half crank as usual.
Then does Not look like the starter contact issue. You could start with getting the battery checked.

Try this, have some adhesive magnetic locks, plenty available online in different forms like circular,buttons, rectangular etc. Also have some tiny adhesive handle on top of the lid or even a fixed idol or scale model will do the handle/opener job.

Thanks, this seems like a good idea. In case I still don't find the actual part in the near future, then shall go ahead and implement this solution.

Hi fellow storme owners,
Has anyone had intercooler bracket cut off and falling into the engine guard? I noticed metallic sound from the engine when my driver was moving the car from garage.
Checked the engine bay and underneath and found this broken metallic part
The engine sound is back to normal but anyways I am taking the truck to the service center. :Frustrati

It’s been a while since I posted on this thread. So my Beast is going to turn 9 next month and is still going very very strong! Have been looking for a replacement for a while not but frankly there’s absolutely no worthy replacement in the Indian market currently🙁
Needed some advice, I’ve felt a lack in throttle response and there’s a significant lack in power when there’s even a little bit of incline on the road. Have even got it checked it at a couple of service centres here in Mumbai but as we all know, problem solving is not their forte:Frustrati
What could be the issue? Also, a reference for a good mechanic in Mumbai will be highly appreciated!

I came across a video by ANI network, of N Chandrababu Naidu reaching Vijayawada Airport in a convoy of old Safari Dicors.
Considering that the Safari Storm was launched in October 2012, these Dicors must be
at least 11 years old!
It is so good to see that they are
considered reliable enough to transport the CM-elect in! All that electonics+jamming equipment mounted on the other vehicles have also lasted a long time!
Im impressed by whichever team is in-charge of maintaining these vehicles! clap:

I hope Safari Dicor is a favorite of Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Amit Shah as well :). Saw some recent videos of them using the Dicor .

Hi All
Recently purchased a pre-owned 2015 Varicor 320 4X2 VX at 81k kms.
Looking for a reliable FNG around Chennai to get a few things sorted and also planning to replace the engine bed bolt bushes as I can feel alot of vibrations in slow speeds.
Also suggest if an engine flush and oil additive would make it a smoother ride.
I'm already aware of the Storme's engine feel. Would just like to make a bit refined.

Yesterday travelled to hometown from BLR around ~750 kms.
About 30 kms from home, my daughter says she heard a hissing noise which i did not hear. Around 2 kms from home, all of us got a sweet smell in the car and i observed the battery indicator was coming ON and OFF and the RPM meter stopped working. Also could see some smoke in the bonnet area.
Today i started the car which cranked with a lot of hesitation and could hear a weird whistling noise and some smoke so i switched off the car.
Any idea what this could be.

It's a normal burning smell, what I mean is that there no distinct characteristics to the smell.

Burning smell of what ? Exhaust like ? Rubber ? Something else ?
Shine a torch and try to see if anything is damaged due to burn.
