The water pump had failed and was the source of the noise. Got it replaced , cost 12.5K , now the car is smooth again

Can someone help me with the part number of SACHS suspension for a polo 1.0 and help me by suggesting me with a few mods for my car? The current mods on my car are:
Stage1 tune by Venom
Forge BOV
Pipercross airfilter
Automech catback exhaust
Euroduct

I look forward to getting EBC brake pads installed and need to focus on the handling of the car.

• Handling wise - Big improvement. Much more stable overall
• Comfort - Not as plush as the stocks. You will feel the road a lot more, which can get tiresome after a point. To combat this, I switched from the stock 185/55/15 to 205/55/16, which did help soften the ride a bit, and it improved the grip tremendously.
• Wheel gap- Huge. Makes your car look like a monster truck. You'd want to get a set of lowering spring if you're particular about the stance, which in turn will add to the stiffness of the ride.

My honest opinion after owning the Sachs about a year - Only buy it if you're not willing to go for a set of coilovers.
In hindsight, I'd rather have saved up and gotten a decent set of coilovers, so as to have control over the ride height and damping.
If not then the Sachs is still one of the best upgrades you can do for the car, but at the cost of comfort. And since most of our roads have some work or the other going on, you will feel it.

2) Is there any issue regarding PUC if i get a decat.

If not, there most certainly should be. Cat is there to reduce poisons released into the air.

We drivers can hardly claim to be environmental angels, but at least, please, don't try to make your car worse than it already is! If there is a small price to pay in performance, pay it.

I am facing a recent new issue in my Polo GT TSI 2021 1.0 L.
Earlier I could use the stereo without turning the car on with only key inside the ignition but nowadays as I restart the car - the stereo too restarts. Although it automatically comes back to normal mode immediately and everything resumes as it was but the problem is that if I am on a call - the call moves back to cell phone ear piece and then back to system as soon as it restarts - making me miss some 10 odd seconds time on call.

Anybody else facing the same issue? Is that related to battery life or is it a common problem with new models only?

Used to happen with mine (2015), but not always. I also thought it was battery but happened after long drives too.

Since I upgraded to RCD 340G, it never happened again even when cabin light goes dim while starting.

This is mostly because of the battery. Best to have it checked if it's still has a healthy level of charge. I remember this happening to my car too before changing the battery.

Finally was able to locate the issue with Stereo restarting with every crank
Battery.
3 years and 6 months with 60K on Odo.
Service Center guy confirmed that Battery is gone Kaput and we may need to replace it very shortly if not with the service today.
Going to get this checked by my Tyre cum Batter guy to take the final call.
VW Service centre has all the replacements at a super premium so not getting it changed by them for sure.

You got a very good life from the OEM battery. Usually, VW OEM batteries fail much sooner.

In my Jetta, the OEM battery failed in 1.5 years and was replaced under warranty. That replaced battery also failed in under 1.5 years.

In my Polo GT too, the OEM battery failed in less than 2 years.

3.5 - 4 years is very good.

My OEM battery lasted 3yr 11mo. The next battery was amaron and that lasted 3yrs 10mo. Now the 3rd battery is in its 4th year.

Although I think we all agree that it is ridiculous, because batteries are a consumer item, and regularly need replacing when our car is immovable, VW are known to make a fuss about warranty repairs when a non-VW battery is fitted.

Yes, it is stupid. But those still in warranty might want to give it a thought.
