Thanks sidrock2004.
I will take a test ride as other points like space & utility is what I am sold on!

Re: Chevrolet Enjoy : Official Review

I think it is for the first time that a car has been launched and there is absolutely no interest.

This is also a car that I have tough time spotting on the road. Any idea why this car is not selling.

I've seen many on road in Bangalore. Dunno how its selling, those figures will come in next months SIAM sales report. It definitely looks good in silver. At 9.5OTR for the diesel top end in B'lore, it offers leather captain seats, alloys, ABS, ALOT of space and absolutely minimal turbo lag compared to Ertiga.

Re: Chevrolet Enjoy : Official Review

The Chevrolet Enjoy is increasingly becoming the poor man's Innova. At 8,20,000 for the basic diesel version, it has the national engine, power steering, power windows and air-conditioning, getting into the last row is also not a hassle since it comes with a full folding middle row seat without requiring occupants to squeeze through the two captain seats in the top end variant. It gives you 80% of what the Innova gives you at 65% of the price, it also helps that it 'looks' like the Innova!

I'd rather that the Innova is the wasteful rich man's Chevy Enjoy. At 9.6L OTR in B'lore for the top end, it offers ABS, Airbags, Alloys compensating just a bit of space. It's got the national engine amazingly well tuned for its purpose & offers almost 1.5 times the mileage of an Innova.

IIRC the mid-variant of the Innova offers all this at 15L OTR here, so to me, that's 90% of the Innova at ~60% of the price.

Chevy factory sent 2578 Enjoys in June; a decent figure.

Trust me, you can see capitalism in its truest form at work here, the bigger recognised boys coming under pressure from the new kids on the block, its happening to the Innova through the Enjoy, the Duster through the Ecosport, to MSIL through the Micra, and the best thing is, its going to work out in favour of the consumer in the long run

Re: Chevrolet Enjoy : Official Review

Saw a couple of cars in my area. The Car looks like a simpler version of Ertiga (Ertiga looks a lil more beefed up). The space on the inside was adequate I guess, little less than Innova but more than Ertiga.

One of the car that I saw was loaded with 7 passesngers and the rear end was hanging very low. Seems like a good alternative for Innova but not the Ertiga because its comparison with Innova gives significant savings and little compromise on space and reliability. Comparison with Ertiga gives, decent savings little extra space but losing out on Maruti Peace of Mind.

I am happy that Innova is finally getting its competition. I would like to see GM to do better business in India unlike Fiat / Mitsubishi as they are introducing reasonable products at mouth watering prices.

Ive seen a coulpe of these on the roads.looks are neutral and the boxy design maximizes space.

This minivan segment is going to be very popular for all kinds of application.Every manufacturer is going to have one.

These are going to be the new gen maruti omni van.

Cargo,ambulance,taxis,family cars.

Re: Chevrolet Enjoy : Official Review

I bought this car on june 19th - mid variant diesel. Have clocked 1200 kms since then.
Following are the observations:

1. No turbo lag
2. Mileage 18.66 in city (30% times full load, rest solo)
3. Good A/c
4. Suspension bolts got loose, re-torque at first month re-asurance service
5. Steering a bit heavy being hydraulic
6. Good suspension even while single
7. Lil noisy engine at load
8. acceleration fine upto 2500 rpm, doesnt increase at same rate further.
9. Sweet spot 90-100kmph on highway, engine not very happy above this speed.
10. Can pick up on second gear in city
11. Good spacious interiors - wifey and kids happy inside.
12. less space for lugguage at the back with 3rd row in position.

overall value for money- was quite happy with the mileage esp when company specified is 18.3 under std conditions. I was expecting about 15 in city.

Re: Chevrolet Enjoy : Official Review

I see a lot of them on roads here at Kochi, both private and taxi.

The rear of the Enjoy resembles the Xylo a lot. And its got to do with the taillights a lot. The wheels are too small for the vehicle. Chevy should have put 15".

Re: Chevrolet Enjoy : Official Review

Saw loads of them in TN - definitely doing well considering the Chinese heritage. I like the looks too. Size-wise just the right length as well for easy handling in crowded city streets.

Looks pretty nice too. May not be a hot-seller but should keep ticking over at 2-3k/month.

Re: Chevrolet Enjoy : Official Review

Yeah I kinda see a lot of Enjoys here in Kerala now as taxis (mainly) and private registered vehicles.

In fact I am still looking for a comfortable and efficient 7 seater and Enjoy is at the top of my list.
I might end up having one in my Garage.

Saw few of them (private regn) in Bangalore. Front looks good and better than Ertiga.

Hey shypals,
Congratulations on Enjoy!
A ownership review log from you is a must. It will be good reference for forum.
