The coupe when its launched should be cheaper right?
On-road Mumbai price for the V8S is a whopping 2cr!
The Coupe when launched would be obviously cheaper.

Re: Jaguar F-Type : Driven

Jaguar blends the past with the future with this D Type inspired F type

Yes its a single seater

Check out the video;

Jaguar engineers have squeezed another 54hp and 55Nm out of the engine pushing output to 542hp and 680Nm (501 lb-ft), allowing this car to reach 60mph in 4.1 seconds (regular F-Type V8 S: 4.2 seconds) and achieve a top speed of 186mph (299km/h).

Also apparently the helmet has been strapped on to some sort of a unique helmet holder, check out;

Re: Jaguar F-Type : Driven

I dont know what stopped them from going all out on this concept. They should have got rid of the windscreen and covered the left hand side of the cabin with some black leather with nice shiny stainless steel buttons. They should have also welded the passenger door shut. That I think would have completed the look of the car.

Re: Jaguar F-Type : Driven

The Project 7 looks gorgeous in that colour. Not sure about the spoiler though.

And those wheels are yummy. Seeing Jag branded tyres for the first time.

Check out the names on the front door. JLR R&D looks to be a fun place to work.

yes, its the custom fabricated helmet holder. An interesting fact about Project 7 is that it's named after brand’s seven Le Mans wins from 1951 to 1990, as per the lead designer on the project, Ian Callum. Source: Forbes.

Re: Jaguar F-Type : Driven

Nice review and no doubt wonderful car. But when, when will our awesome government make proper roads for such beauties??? I mean looking at the state of roads specially in Mumbai where every 2 minutes you come across huge speed breakers and pot holes and every monsoon is a hellish punishment for the cars, a car like F-type does not deserve this ill treatment.
Delhi roads are still way better.

At least in Mumbai you can drive your supercars around if you're careful. Here in Bangalore, I don't think I would be able to drive one anywhere, unless you're restricted to Lavelle Road (2km radius). It's just appalling, even for larger luxury cars.

Roads aside, I'd love to see the Jag in the flesh and listen to that exhaust note.

Jaguar F-Type : Driven-photo-1.jpg

Got to experience the F-Type today in flesh.

Yes i sat on the drivers seat, yes i started the car, yes i revved it & i revved it again for a few more times, oh & yes she was the V8 S

Words cant describe the exhaust growl, it was truly WILD.

It indeed was a "YOUR TURN" moment for me

Re: Jaguar F-Type : Driven

Reports are just in that a Jaguar F-Type caught fire in Herentals, Belgium.

Apparently, the owner was driving his recently-purchased new sports car on the highway, when he felt something wrong with the car and reportedly pulled over to see smoke coming out from underneath the bonnet.

Quote:
What’s interesting is that they used a special foam, instead of water to put out the fire, as most of the F-Type’s structure was made out of lightweight aluminum which melted into a blob. The driver was able to retreat to a safe distance and was uninjured, so that’s good…
A specilst from UK is being sent to chek it out. A spontaneously-combusting new model does not look good in Jaguar’s resume, and they will have to find a satisfactory answer quickly.
