Will upgrading only the bulb help? Pardon me for the ignorance, but what else can be uprgraded other than the bulb? And how much will that upgrade cost?

I am taking the delivery in a couple of days.

I have upgraded my headlight unit with projectors, DRLs and 5000K HID kit.

NOTE:
Upgrading only the bulb partially solves the problem as I done it earlier but the permanent solution is projectors with HID kit.Here are some pictures for your understanding.

How much do projectors with HID cost?

And if I want to upgrade only the bulb, can I take the bulbs (Hella powerlight as you have suggested in a previous post) to the dealer while taking the delivery and get it changed from him only?

Another option is to upgrade to 90/100w setup. This would need extra set of relays, ceramic holders and wiring kit. Extra wattage means Ford might void the electrical warranty.
HID's alone will cost around 8k-10k. HID's on reflector headlight assembly not recommended as it will scatter the light and blind oncoming traffic.
HID's+Projectors can cost 25k-30k where 4300k (color temperature) HIDs are recommended.

I have used all the above in my Swift and found HID's + projectors the best (not good in rains though). Planning to go for extreme vision in couple of months and 1 year down the line I might go for projectors. Waiting for some cool looking aftermarket kits.

Wattage is same (stock). AFAIK, it's 5000k (color temp) bulbs and will provide around 25-30% more light. I think you can check JC road for the bulbs.

As Naveenraju said you can buy these bulbs anywhere.

Philips extreme vision is widely available hence most commonly bought, Hella power light is a little difficult to get hold of.

The wattage is 55w, same as the original:thumbs up

Colour temperature is 3000 to 3500Kand not 5000K(it is not possible for halogens to emit that colour temperature)

You can get it online for around 3k-3.5k. TBHPian johannskaria from Thrissur got projectors and DRL's. You can contact him for more details.

Are you talking out the same kind of DRLs that member ecosport rules got? If so, you will need to open the headlight assembly to install it. There's already a provision for the DRL's.

No kind of DRL can be installed through the parking hole:uncontrol.
You have to open up for any of DRL fixing unless you want to stick it outside the head lamp which will look very ugly.

Ive seen some guys do that hideous job.
