Re: Nissan Terrano : Official Review

I test drove both and the 110 on the Terrano has a lot less lag than the 110 Duster. 85 Both felt the same to me.

110 Terrano is just a bit more laggy than the 85, but not as much as the Duster 85 vs 110.

Re: Nissan Terrano : Official Review

Didn't get a chance to TD 85PS but I can safely say that I found the clutch a bit hard for my liking. While driving 110PS I noticed that every time you push the car from 0, it takes that extra fraction of a second before it unleashes it power.

Thanks Guys. Appreciate your inputs.

So, it look like Terrano 110ps did get an ECU update/remap to reduce turbo lag. This is not just a facelift afterall.

The 'D' at the 10th position indicates the year of manufacture i.e 2013 starting with A for 2010, B for 2011, etc.

The 'C' at the 11th position indicates the month of manufacture i.e. December. January starts with 1 and goes upto 9 for September and then 'A' for October to 'C' for December.

I got this info when i got the Micra CVT for my father in October this year. Its VIN has D and A at the 10th and 11th positions respectively. Hope this is clear. Thanks.

Thanks Ampere and VVRchandra

@ Ampere - I used the same thread to decode the VIN on Wednesday night. If I hadn't found that thread, I wouldn't be having peaceful sleep for last 2 nights

No indicators located in the SVM's. This one is evidently the top variant..
Isn't the top variant supposed to come with silver painted ORVM too? This one looks body colored.

Re: Nissan Terrano : Official Review

I think they changed it to Body Colored. All the Terrano's I have seen have Body Colored, besides the XE.

Thankfully I tool Silver so everything matches in my XL Petrol. Those funky satin finished door handles, the side step trimming, etc.

Also the Indicators in the side mirror is an accessory not standard.

Re: Nissan Terrano : Official Review

Guys PDI Done today, satisfied with the car

Checked out the seat covers for the date and it says 6th Dec 2013. Would be able to get delivery on Thursday, so would beat the price hike.. phew!

Got Apollo Hawkz as stocks, any opinions?

Accessories chosen (As of now)

1. Reverse parking sensors (body colored)
2. Exhaust finisher (car really needs one)
3. Blinkers on ORVMs ( For crazy Bangalore traffic, there is nothing like being over cautious)

For Car Insurance, am planning to go with Royal Sundaram, dealer has agreed to match the quote that I got online, so that works out well too..

@Dhruvmalik - saw a white one at the stockyard. Looks good

Re: Nissan Terrano : Official Review

Phoenix - Good Choice.

I am taking Silver, the white one looks really good BUT it blends with all the other WHITE cars out there.

I am taking.
1) Trunk Finisher
2) Leather Seats
3) Mud Guard
4) Leather Steering Wheel
5) ORVM Blinkers
6) Chrome Finisher for Exhaust
7) Beige Floor Mats.

oops ..

Am planning to get leather seats from Imperial Leather as I have read rave reviews about them here on TBHP. Car needs leather for a better seating comfort, I felt it while driving 110 PS. Managed to coax SA to throw in standard accessories for free.

Awesome.

I am not aware of any good Leather Seats maker in Ahmedabad, so going for the Nissan ones.

There is Autoform or something like that but it has their branding all over it, which I dislike.

If anyone is aware of other companies to be on the lookout for, do let me know.

Thanks.

Pictures of my leather seats from Ceralli (Nappa original leather).

The overall seat height, back support has also improved and looks, feels great.

Re: Nissan Terrano : Official Review

Just went to Calcutta Motors and they were giving me a really good price, much better quality than Nissan.

Getting Seats + Steering wheel cover close to 4k cheaper with better quality leather used.
I have a dog, so wont be spending so much on seats.

Also the floor mats are cheaper compared to Nissan with Better quality.

These look really awesome. Congrats Arun! how much did these set you back by and can you also share the contact details?

These are the topmost on my priority list, wasn't disappointed by the audio quality that much.
