I was looking for VX Trim in diesel. Ex Showroom crossing 10 lac in Chennai would move it to 15% tax bracket instead of 10%.

Petrol Vs Diesel is not 1 lac difference thats good pricing for diesel.

re: 4th-gen Honda City : Official Review

This implies Bangalore ex-showroom pricing for V MT will be about 15-17K higher, and in the range of 9.17 Lakhs. VX MT ex-showroom will be 10.15 Lakhs approx. Add another couple of Lakhs odd for RTO, insurance etc.

Not bad for petrolheads, though I didn't understand the logic of charging 1 Lakh premium over Vento TSI for Petrol CVT.

The CE variant features in the third generation is equivalent to the features of the E variant in the fourth generation. It appears that it is just a change in the naming of the variants across the third and fourth generation.

Fabulous pricing!
Anyone took a screen shot of the accessories list from presentation? I thought I saw a twin horizontal grill which looked WAY better than the stock.

Vento TSI is not providing sunroof.

If you buy SV CVT and add leather seats, alloy wheels, i think it will be still less / near to TSI price.

From the Official Brochure:

Variants and their distinguishing features.

Complete details of all features across all variants.

Also, a peek at the official accessories for the 2014 City shows availability of a much better alloy wheel. Certainly a LOT better than the propeller-inspired default OEM ones.
Notice the twin-slat optional grille up front as well? Fantastic looking!

There you go, this is from the brochure. the alloy design smacks of the amaze.

Edit : oops, my buddy RavenAvi has updated his post to include this pic as well, so deleting it here

pricing seems to be spot on, so hopefully we will have 'sensible' pricing for the Jazz when it gets launched later this year.

This is fabulous pricing , it will indeed make life difficult for competitors... Hyundai beware, though Verna 1.6 isn't that bad with 128ps power & 23.5 kmpl mileage numbers, & Hyundai A.S.S. is widespread across India.

PS : I am now waiting for the launch pics. Hopefully these should be out by the evening or tomorrow morning.

re: 4th-gen Honda City : Official Review

Those are really competitive prices from Honda indeed! The variants are fairly well loaded keeping those prices in mind. The SV grade (Petrol MT) is exceptional value @ 8.49 Lacs.

As for the VX grade, perhaps the only important feature missing from the lineup is an in-dash satellite navigation system. It's about time that the manufacturers in India start including it in their list of goodies.

Good pricing and its going to be a sure shot winner, those looking to buy the CVT will feel short changed by the lack of the CVT on the V variant, they will have to spend an additional lakh for the VX because the V variant looks quite complete in the specs as compared to the SV

Fantastic pricing by Honda. Also, I must say that the grill and alloys on the accessories list is much better than the OEM ones

I wonder whats going to be the next move by Volkswagen and Hyundai.

Agree. City V CVT @9.9L would have been really nice. 9.9 sticker price also means road tax savings for states like KA. VX CVT is going to touch 14L here!
