Finally after a lot of uncertainity ened thanks to Honda Delhi to whom I escalated the issue alongwith the management team of Hallmark Honda the car was dispatched and after a lot of created confusion with the RTO received the blue Mobilio on Vijayadashami day ( It all worked out well in the end!)
The car had plied 54 kms by delivery , drove another 30 on day of delivery and a hundred yesterday its been a breeze, certain misses a lot of pluses Will write on the same in initial ownership review with a bias on its comparison with my dear old Logan my partner of over 7 yrs !!
Trying to find a good family to send him to !!
Please find a couple of pics
Hi guys, I just got the delivery of the car a few days back. Carnelian Red, i-Dtec, VO variant. Will be uploading the pics soon. Unfortunately for me, I had to go through a rather bad experience with the honda car dealer.
I want to know whether the v(o) variant of mobilio comes with a different badging compared to v, since mine did not carry any?

Congratulations on the arrival of the new member of your family. Never mind the minor hassles till u got the car...but Im sure u find its worth the wait. Go ahead, enjoy it and do keep posting first hand reviews because they are the ones which matter the most. The pros and cons which are noticed during the daily usage. One of my colleagues took a test drive and he said he felt like sitting inside an elevated Amaze or Brio. Please let know if the actual feeling is different because my brother-in-law is planning on one.

First of all, Congrats on getting the Mobilio.
What bad experience did you go through?
The badging will be 'V' only as V (O) doesn't get any special badging.
Anurag.

Congratulations pk1 and Anup25 and welcome to Mobilio Family! Wish you miles of safe and happy motoring! We are the first few Mobilio owners here :), lets share our experiences of Mobilio often.
pk1 - I saw RS (O) in showroom today during 1st service of my Mobilio and did not see "O" badge for it either, Honda may not be providing it.
Cheers!

Thanks! Yes member of the family it is, my son stays in the back seat Wife likes the middle seat and am right in front driving away!
I have driven the Amaze and the Honda city not the Brio, one major difference I felt was the gearbox, the Mobilio seemed an improvement in terms of the shifts, the only gear I find a little difficult finding is the reverse but that could be the newness of the car and getting used to it
The suspension was important for me and so far its been better sitting in the mobilio than even on the back seat of the city (maybe the extra height and the thicker tyres?!)
Drive felt like driving a city as well, no feeling of lugging a 7 seater
Have been stopped a few times on the road at signals by fellow vehicle owners enquiring how the vehicle is! Quite exciting! Had the same feeling when my new Logan ( one of the first deliveries over 7 yrs back) used to be halted for such queries !
Will post a detailed initial ownership report after first 1000 kms or so

The bad experience began right from the initial booking amt payment to the registeration !! The waiting period was long even as other friends were getting deliveries A rival dealer my office uses also shared that deliveries were being made post 15th August for the pre booking guys ( I was one of them !)
The registration process was absolutely messed up I can understand the delays at RTO but the communication was poor and some of the statements were not even true!
Plus on the way out was offered some freebies to give a 10 score right from the GM I thanked him praised his people for taking phone calls ( which they did, answered the phone every single time) inspite of the botch ups, then I refused the freebies and took delivery !

Hi Anup25,
Nice to hear from you. Good to know about the ride quality and driving pleasure of the Mobilio. What i meant by "elevated Amaze" was in terms of driver's seating height. Any update on the same? Also heard about the Mobilio having a choppy ride when not loaded. Is that true?

Thanks !! Well in the last 3-4 days I have driven over a free way in Mumbai, the eastern express highway both over the weekend which gave me a clear stretch of road and also in evening traffic in town when its the 1st and 2nd gear drive, Have driven with a maximum of 3 passengers and a few of the drives its just been me, so far I find the car to be smooth, engine noise is low as well, Not exceeded 80 kms per hr at any point of time, however not felt a choppy ride yet
One concern as of now is the mileage which moved down from 13.9 to 9.2 went back up to 10.9 and is now at 10.2 kpl but guess the engine being new will take time to settle
The seat quality honestly at the front is something that could be improved, lower back needs some support, the seat seems thin as well, I propose to put in seat covers with additional foam/ fibre and some lower back support as well to tide over this
Yesterday, the Mobilio RS was displayed at my office at Ascendas Taramani Chennai. In dark colors, the RS looks cool. As someone mentioned, it gives that "the fast and the furious" movie car look. The car looked Classy in Urban titanium metallic and in Black colors

Thank you everyone, and congratulations to all those who've got their mobilios :thumbs up
This is what my experience came to be like.
I had done a pre-booking for the car, and was told by the salesperson that i would get it by the last week of august if the booked the top variant at that time (which was the V variant). However, during the last week I got a call from the sales person saying that the delivery would be delayed by at least a couple of months, and if I needed it urgently I would have to pay extra and go for the newly introduced V(O) variant instead.
Since it was not possible for me to wait for that long, I went ahead and booked the V(O) variant and paid the extra sum, on the assurance that i will get the car in a weeks time. However, yet again the sales person called up and said that they had received the wrong pricing from Honda for that variant and asked me to pay around Rs. 14000 over what I had already paid.
To add to my frustration, I received calls from that person at an annoyingly increasing rate during that period. And when I asked him that whether they had any official statement from the company about the same, they almost started ignoring my calls! And finally I got an answer that I can check the pricing online on Honda's website. Seriously! As a matter of fact they did not have any official (or unofficial) document or communication from the company to prove that there was any fault in their pricing earlier.
However, on my father's insistence I did not take the matter any further, but made sure I let the manager know of my disappointment at the day of the delivery (25th of Sept). Even then they were not ready to accept the fact that they had gone wrong at any point during this whole chapter! So I did not argue any further because that could not have made anything better for me, and took the car home.
Surely, not a good way to receive your new car.
As I now reflect upon it, I realize that they had just put the ad-on accessories of the V(O) variant and cunningly sold them to me (wouldn't have preferred to buy those otherwise).
Also, I should mention here that my family owned Honda City as well as Jazz for a long time now, and are really happy with them in all aspects. However, this was the first time we had to face such a problem from Honda, a first time for everything I guess.

Congrats on the Mobilio.
Please report this to Honda. Secondly, you can confirm this by calling Honda customer helpline. The VIN number also tracks which model it corresponds to. Meaning, even if the dealer too an "E" model and made it in an RS(O). Once you have this proof, send it to Honda customer care. Someone will attend to you.
Also - please share the name of the dealer in Mumbai. This malpractice should not be used on other people.

Hi Pk sorry to hear about your experience
My car was booked from Bombay as well
The bad experience began right from the initial booking amt payment to the registration !! The waiting period was long even as other friends were getting deliveries A rival dealer my office uses also shared that deliveries were being made post 15th August for the pre booking guys ( I was one of them too booked in Mid July before launch !)

The only reason we probably dealt with different dealers is my guys took calls !!! They also did not try to upsell the V (o) much

Hey need more specific information :-
1) In city means which route in Bangalore. Is it bumper to bumper traffic? How many kms you cover in how much time? ac on fulltime?
2) Which rpm do you change gears?
Gear change at 1500 rpm and 2500 rpm would give a difference of atleast 3 kmpl mileage for most turbo vehicles.
3) Highway driving, again which rpm you change gears and whats the speed maintained ?
