Holy moly - cheaper than the new i20?

A quick price comparison - all prices are Ex.Showroom delhi (taken from respective manufacturer websites), metallic color.

Re: Tata Zest : Official Review

Super pricing by Tata IMO.

At 6.99 lakhs, Tata Zest MJD AMT becomes the cheapest diesel automatic car in India.

Re: Tata Zest : Official Review

Boy oh boy, these are some killer prices. The sub compact market space has spiced up quite a bit with this bang of a launch.

Re: Tata Zest : Official Review

Nice job TATA. I personally liked the XMS very much. The XMS(P/D) with dual(?) airbags and ABS is still cheaper than the DZire VXI/VDI which comes with zero safety.
Seeing this, I think the Bolt XT will fit right in between Figo Titanium and Swift Z.

Considering the base won't have some of the key features, even the mid variant IMO is very decently priced at 5.25 compared to the Dzire (5.44 Vxi).

Excellent pricing.
Does anyone has a breakdown of features in each variant?

Re: Tata Zest : Official Review

Brilliant pricing! Just as expected, undercut the competition (Lessons well learnt from the Aria debacle).

But why only XMA? There is no top end AMT variant? (Read: no AMT with all infotainment and safety features).

As per TML press release

Quote:
The Modes give the car best-in-class fuel efficiency in real world driving conditions. As per the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) certification, the Revotron 1.2T delivers 17.6 km/litre and the Diesel delivers 23 km/litre, under mandated test km/litre in normal conditions.

Re: Tata Zest : Official Review

Great Pricing.

I guess the Revotron XT (ToL Petrol Variant) will come close to 7.2L OTR B'lore.

N.B.
: These are Introductory Prices.

I expect prices to be increased later as sales numbers surge, but hope they hold for atleast a month or more.

Q)
Some news reports claimed a 3 year extended warranty, any Info about the same? Any AMC package?

Re: Tata Zest : Official Review

Brilliant pricing from Tata - totally aggressive & with true intent.

I have pre-booked a Tata Zest Revotron via online website.

This means I will get the top end XT model for about 6.7 Lakhs On-the-road in Mumbai. Just fantastic!

Re: Tata Zest : Official Review

This has to be most affordable car in the segment offering ABS plus airbags. Features galore!! Worth all the wait and hype, all thats left is to wait and see how the market laps it up and how long before Tata goes the Duster/Ecosport/XUV 500 route and jacks up the price.
Brilliant, brilliant product and an even better marketing campaign that delivered exactly what the car needed.

Re: Tata Zest : Official Review

Superb pricing. Tata is trying to reboot and do an Indica again, but this time they seem to have their focus right - Price, Features, Style/design AND quality/reliability.

Having said that, the only way to get a better A.S.S. experience is to build reliable cars that do not need to go there except for regular, scheduled Preventive Maintenance. If they can win over the initial set of buyers, word will spread. I don't expect extraordinary figures initially though.

Just a basic price comparison of all compact sedans:

Zest pricing from Twitter, rest from CarWale taking closest model prices for comparison. Xcent is the only thing competitive from a price stand point.

Great job from TM in product development & pricing.
