I am just experimenting. That is why I don't to do any permanent change on the car. Everything is reversible. I can just peel it off when I am done.
I love this look of the car. Black and grey themed. You may have to see it in flesh. I am considering undoing the S' symbol alone.
Does anyone know if Maruti has plans to plonk the 1.6 DDiS in the Ciaz ? If yes, that will be really good and a sureshot winner again !

I quite like the gloss black roof, goes well with the car. However, I think your car might look better with matte black mirrors.
Suzuki logo on the front grill, I think, should continue to remain chrome. Dull chrome possible?

Finally found time to click a photo but not in the best of the places.

Really like your black grille mod. Gives your car a stately look without all that chrome bling. Better to get the logo unwrapped and that'd complete the perfect look. :thumbs up
Finally got bitten by the ciaz bug and have succumbed. Booked the ZXI+ variant from Chowgule. Delivery is around Akshaya Trithiya. The wait begins .....
I'd like to thank Aditya, for his precise review and to fellot t-bhp members Abhishek Sircar, Visaster whose experiences and posts have helped me in making this booking. Will post a detail review covering the delivery process shortly
Cheers
I have this issue with Ciaz ZXi -- not a big one though.
I usually play from USB drive and put it on random selection mode. however, whenever I change folder, random mode is disabled by default. For every change, I have to press "rdm" button. Any clues / any suggestions?
PS : My review is complete and is in the Assembly Line for quite some time now. I am yet to devote time to upload pics, thats the only thing pending. Hope to put this on forum this weekend.

these are the only options you have after selecting random (from manual)
FOLDER RANDOM
The random indicator “RDM.F” will light.
The tracks in the currently selected
folder will be played in random order.
• ALL RANDOM
The random indicator “RDM” will light.
The tracks in the connected USB device
will be played in random order

With Verna and City 2017 models lined up, I see plonking the DDIS320 on the Ciaz will only save its sales being cannibalized.
Ciaz with DDIS320, Brezza, Baleno with the Boosterjet engines will give the "fun" drive car lineup to Suzuki in India. :thumbs up
A random request for advice !
A Scorpio opened its door as I drove by and clipped my left ORVM. The folding motor and mirror motor and the mirror itself seem fine. The plastic (body color cover) broke and it appears so did the indicator along with the indicator wiring.
Do I need to replace the entire mirror assembly ? That's what I'm being told.
EDIT: the cost of replacing a Ciaz ORVM for my zxi was quoted at 7500 at Vishnu Cars in chennai. And they wanted 500 for painting it beige. This is after I specifically asked if the indicator and outer plastic cover alone could be replaced. Which they said was impossible.
Sense prevailed and I went to ABT where for 4250 the indicator assembly and outer cover was changed.
I'll just go straight to ABT next time.

Sorry for your loss, few questions
1. The cost includes Labour?
2. The quote provided include the paint charges as well?

Vishnu wanted 7500 for the entire LORVM assembly and 500 for painting the plastic beige. They didn't say anything about labour at the time.
ABT for one immediately offered to change only the damaged parts and charged 3250 (sorry, the 4250 in my previous post was a typo) for the indicator assembly, the outer plastic shell, paint charges and labour.

For such cases, always ask for the parts manual when in doubt. The parts manual clearly illustrates which parts are available separately and which are available as the complete assembly.
I have experienced many workshops which try to sell you the entire assembly to make a quick buck, when the child parts of the assembly are available. They try to cash on the ignorance of the customer.
The next BS the workshops give is that "Saar those parts aren't orderable." Head to your nearest MGP outlet and order it. They have an online system which can check if the part is serviceable or not. Even the workshops have access to the online DMS, but if they are in a mood to cheat, they might not give you the correct info. lol:

I was mulling a new car, though was not very serious until I got a mail from my employer that I need to submit the new car quotes ASAP to get in the train for the lease program for 2016.
Though I was considering a creta (petrol base model), a thought of taking a hybrid car in the CIAZ struck me one morning. More compelling here was to impress my fellow american colleagues and my dad that I too drive a hybrid. And end of the day, it was a superb green cause to be associated with.
I then called up my service manager @ Suraksha (who is my long term friend as I used to have a ZEN for 5 years) and asked him his opinion on the CIAZ SHVS. He was very positive about it and the next day a sales lady came to my office to gift me a test drive.
Though I am a petrol head since I was born into this world, I have driven diesels quite a bit from my fellow colleagues. At the moment I am driving a GETZ and a M800.
I did feel the big jump in power at under 2K rpm, which did unsettle me a bit during the test drive. How ever the only moment of worry for me was the long clutch travel. I am 6ft 1; I felt that my left leg was often getting trapped on the left side of the clutch pedal while on the foot rest. Probably I am so used to the GETZ footrest which is almost at level with the clutch height.
I scanned through this thread, did not find any user complaining about it. I checked with the saleswoman, she said that since this car is a test drive one, its clutch is slightly spoilt by all novice drivers who drove it. It wasnt a convincing reply though.
Looking forward to hear from owners on this aspect.

never had this issue on my ZDI variant, but the foot rest on ciaz is almost non existent.
- Go for multiple test drives (until you are satisfied) from a different dealer, also try with different shoes/sandals
