Wonder if the above is true and normal for car manufacturers to do? Or is that the face-lift can be expected early 2018?
Quite possible, not only Maruti all automobile manufacturers will have lean production during end of the year. In fact most of them will have their annual plant maintenance planned in last few weeks of December. They may start as early as first week with a staggered dates starting with press shop, body shop, pain shop, trim and final.
This is to come over the vehicle Model Year stock depletion at dealer end, they also have mid year shutdown around Summer.

But on the face-lift dealers will go to any extend and claim whatever to sell their inventory, I would suggest to check with someone in plant if you know directly or through some friends. That will be more reliable.

Cheers!

Re: Maruti Ciaz : Official Review

Replaced the from interior light bulbs with these LEDs from Aliexpress:

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/10Pc...311.0.0.8oRCXs

Unfortunately couldn't change the ones above the rear doors because they keep blowing the fuse. When installed directly (not through the socket they seem to work fine for some reason).

If anyone is in Hyderabad and wants some I think I have 5-6 left, they can take them for free.

Is the infotainment unit in question the touch screen one being offered in the Alpha & the S model or the regular 2-DIN one being provided in the Sigma, Delta & Zeta model?

It's the touch unit aka SmartPlay, which comes with Navigation(as the Part name says). The regular 2 DIN is much cheaper in comparison.

Re: Maruti Ciaz : Official Review

My Friend's Ciaz ZDi is up for 20K KM service and he was given a quote of 9.5K plus tax. Not to forget he already spent around 1.5-2K for 15000 KM service.
The quote also includes 1.3K of interior cleaning and rest all are standard charges. Is this the standard charges or is the dealer trying to make some money ? 14K for every 10K sounds costly to me. My earlier Vento used to cost 10-14K for every 15000 KM service.

In simple terms, he is being looted.

Check my ZDI's 20K servicing cost on this page - comment # 145

What's the 15000 service? Maruti recommends once every 10k only post the 10,000 km mark. The service guys call and pester to bring the car every 5k kms saying its "recommended". And 9.5+tax is too much, my scross costed me around 8,300 IIRC including taxes for the 20k service. Different cars but still. Interior cleaning for 1300 is not needed at all. If there is any A/C cleaning, please say no to that as well. Wheel balancing and alignment too, please get it done from outside, if it has been included.

I paid around 6k for 20k servicing, and then paid 4800 for 30k servicing.

The service was done and after some bargain my friend ended up paying 9300.
How long does brake pads last in Ciaz? He was told to replace in next service, though I doubt.

Agree - in fact I felt the Delta variant is extreme value for money!

My cousin booked the Ciaz Delta Diesel in Nexa Blue color and plans to take delivery in December with Temporary Registration and then get it registered as a 2018 car in first week of January 2018.

After lot of negotiation, we managed to get a cash discount of 52K and an additional 3M under body coating free (worth 5K). Given that the Ciaz Delta is 9.93L ex-showroom in BLR, even a 1% hike will make it cross the 10L mark which will push the Delta variant into the next tax bracket in Bangalore which will increase the Road Tax by a good 35K. Based on this analysis we did not worry about the facelift. My guess is the facelift should happen post June 2018 as the new Swift is planned for a Feb 2018 release and in fact some dealerships have started to accept bookings for the new Swift already in Bangalore.

The entire unit is available in the free market for 25-35k depending on which city you belong to. The only risk being warranty which the dealer might hassle upon. I was also told by the dealer that they do not fit this system for cars other than alpha.

Bdw, what is the approximate service cost for the 10k service of diesel Ciaz. It will help me be prepared.

Re: Maruti Ciaz : Official Review

Has anyone swapped the tires for the lower trim Ciaz like the Delta which comes with 15 inch rims? The recommended tire seems to be 195/60R15 but based on calculations that seems to reduce Ground Clearance by almost 7.5 mm. 195/65R15 would increase Ground Clearance by 12 mm. Refer URL

Options seem confusing. Request existing owners who have changed the tires to share their experience.

Re: Maruti Ciaz : Official Review

Has anyone installed 6x9 Speakers(or any speakers) on the rear tray and connected them with the rear door speakers without an amplifier?

I have the Alpha variant and was wondering if the Head unit would be able to power them.

I have an amplifier too but don't want to do too much modifications to the wiring.
