Hi Joy!
Since you specifically want the 8 seater configuration (2+3+3, All front facing), did you check if seat belts are provided in the last row? I do hope that in the interest of safety M&M provides seat belts for the last row.

Can anyone confirm?

Regards,
Varun

Hi Varun
I am assuming that should be the case. The reason is that in a S10 7 seater (2+2+3) I thought I could see seat belt attachment points on the pillars adj. the last row.

This is based on an observation from a moving car - looking across to another one. Of course, I could not be sure about it, as both Innova and the S10 in question were moving in traffic albeit slowly; besides my attention was divided between maneuvering Innova and observing the other car.

I will certainly try and update this information in my ownership thread, after taking delivery.

Best Regards
Joy Bhowmik

Last front facing row does have seat belts . It is present in my S10 7CC . It is a different story whether it is used or not ?

Re: Mahindra Scorpio : Official Review

Drove my 4WD & new 2WD Scorpios w/o any passenger back to back. Save for quicker acceleration [because of weight, which will also impact FE & top speed] the 4WD is better. Isn't twitchy, super composed, rides flat. Steering is noticeably heavier, not much feel but is quite heavy.

The manual doesn't mention any changes to suspension between both unlike earlier iteration [torsion beam vs coil springs {?}] but there is a marked difference between the way they ride/handle. Wish someone could answer this.

The spring and damper ratings need to be different between the two for the 4WD to be able to maintain ride height and handling with the extra 80-100kgs upfront. However, these intricate details need not be mentioned in the documents that are customer centric.

Just these account for such a [positive] change in road behavior? I think, there might be few factors more.

Because of low presence of 4WD new gen Scorpio, not much information is available. And I am far from being a tech guy

Try varying your damper, spring and rebound ratings by 5% and you will know.

I gave it more food for thought last night & I am not a technical guy at all, so excuse if things don't make much sense.

Will the steering wheel's weight differ with changes in damper, spring & rebound ratings?

If damper ratings can bring about such a positive change, why doesn't M&M provide this setting as OE? Ok, you may chose not to answer this

If any of you can actually check & find out as to what changes [if at all] are there in suspension? I am thinking to ask my mechanic and get back as to what changes he did discover while cleaning my brakes.

Re: Mahindra Scorpio : Official Review

Not sure if this is the right thread, but here are some pics of possible new variant of the Scorpio(clicked by my friend). Any guesses on what this could be.

P.S: @Mods kindly move this if this is not the right thread.

Complete set of Owners Manual for the 2015 Scorpio

The complete set of owner's manuals for the New Generation Scorpio (2015) are placed together here for easy reference.

While the Owner's Manual and the Quick Start guide are readily available from mahindrascorpio.com, the Infotainment manual is not.

I requested Mahindra H.O. to provide the Infotainment manual, and with their permission am sharing the Infotainment manual as well.

Hope it's of help to whoever needs it.

Best Regards
Joy Bhowmik
