Brought the Nano XTA home 3 days back. The delivery process was super smooth and it took hardly 30-40 minutes to complete the final formalities. A quick demo was provided followed by customary photo and handing over of the key.

Couple of pics captured on the first day at home. In the background, (in the second pic) is the beast welcoming the new member.

Cheers!

Am in the market for Nano XTA. Final price quoted by Concorde Motors Chennai is 3.55 lakhs, including insurance, 2-year AMC, road tax and registration charges. And Tafe Access quoted 3.54 lakhs OTR. By looking at the posts above I was thinking the Chennai OTR would be around 3.3 lakhs with discounts. Chennai BHPians - Is 3.5x the best OTR price for Nano XTA? Please advise.

Dear Freak :D

Rattle 1. from the LHS glovebox/speaker-
Even I have been experiencing the same for a long time but it's intermittent and sometimes happens when I'm in top gear but low rpm. I guess the only way is to remove the glovebox (2012 model has the black glovebox only) and check.

Rattle 2 - Driver door/ somewhere around the Driver seat-
Same issue with my car but it was just the black plastic lock/unlock knob that hits against the door frame around it. Mine was a bit loose. Just tighten it and it never returned.

Best Regards,
T-Bone.

You may get an additional 3000 rupees corporate discount if your company / office is on the listed / preferred customer list.
Concorde Motors prices are usually fair as they are a company owned retail outlet.

Thanks arjab. 2.5 K corporate discount was already included. Have got a further 3 K reduction from Concorde and have booked a Dazzle Blue XTA for 3.52 L. Delivery is likely to be next Saturday.

My father bought a Nano Genx XTA from Concorde south extn Delhi in the last week of December. He was using Zen Estilo from 2012 and post his retirement in september wanted to something easier to manage in the horrible rush hour traffic.
I must comment that the delivery experience was surprisingly pleasant for TATA, and special thanks to one Mr Deepak Joshi who took care of everything professionally, very clear in his follow ups and kept to his commitments. Would recommend contacting him to anyone looking to buy a TATA car in Delhi.

Congrats Damodar Ji. Wishing you and your father all the very best with your new acquisition and wishing many niggle free miles on it. :thumbs up

Cheers!

Took delivery of Nano XTA from Concorde Motors Chennai. Not a pleasant experience overall. Many could-have-been-better things at dealership. Why, even the car had an issue which was found during PDI. The driver side door was opening only on the second attempt, from inside. It was fixed on the spot by dealership mechanics.

Owning a Nano was a wish I had, right from the time it was launched. We now have a blue cutie in our driveway with our main drive for over seven years, the i20 diesel. Short drives in the neighbourhood, especially for wife, that would likely be the main usage of our Nano.

one question, did you happen to do the PDI from your side?

When I got my nano, I asked the dealer not to perform the PDI before I did mine. I uncovered couple of minor niggles and they took care of it promptly. Thereafter, I asked them to perform the PDI from their side and let me know if they uncover some more niggles, thus ensuring that chances of finding a niggle at the time of delivery are negligible.

Cheers!

@iabhishekkumar
Yes, I did the PDI myself. In fact had taken a look at the car before registration but that was only outer body inspection. It was on the day of delivery I could do a detailed check during which the door opening issue was picked up.

Bought a pre owned 2016 May Blue Nano XTA with 2700 km on odo this week . So far driven 300 km and I am very happy with the car.

I replaced all small bulbs with LEDs, also replaced rear speakers with 6X9s (i should say the Harman made rear speakers are doing a way better job than what came from OEM in my Ertiga)

Next week plans are to upgrade horns, headlight bulbs to Xtreme vision (again stock lights are way better than my Ertiga)

Need to research on how to reduce the engine sound (inside and outside, if that is possible)

Will PM you the exact price. 30%+ depreciation in 7 months.

But the catch is very few AMT nanos are available in used car market. Last 4 weeks I was searching 6 different used car sites for XTA/XMA and only 2 showed up in a large city like Bangalore.

I had replaced the rear speakers with JBL 6X9s along with the tray but I felt that the stock tray was better integrated and also the stock tray + stock rear speaker combo seemed to be putting out better sound quality than the JBLs (Blame the HU. I don't have any intention of replacing that). So reverted to the 'nano' tray. I did not know that the stock speakers were made by Harman.

Agree that stock lights are way better than some cars. I use Philips XtermeVision Plus and did aiming of the headlights myself for my requirements. The throw and spread and focus is very good and I do not see a need for higher power output.

Replaced the stock horns with Denso twin horns. One is placed where the existing horn is and other one is bolted on the right side next to the fuel filler neck. No relay was installed. Wires for new horn just extended from the existing wires. I did try installing bigger hella dual horns which came stock with my i20 but the sound intrusion into the cabin was too much to bear.

I am using two 6x9 wooden boxes , not a tray. Original tray is removed. Was a bit skeptical if the engine sound inside the cabin will go up if i remove the tray, but not really. I use the fader in R-2 setting and that gives a balanced sound.

Anyone upgraded front speakers?

Right now i used a jugad to get speaker connectors from the rear 4 pin socket as i couldn't get a spare 4 pin female socket. Checked with few car accessories shop and KHT workshop, but no luck.

Any idea if its available online to purchase?

Will update this thread after the horn installation.
