We have purchased the same model (2021 ZX CVT, 15K ODO) in Spinny, Chennai after exchanging 16 year old Indigo CS. After applying year end offers and exchange bonus, net cost came around 8.2L including new insurance. The car also had Spinny Assured+ coverage, means 6 months comprehensive warranty and 3 year warranty for Powertrain.
With recent hikes in car prices, insurance, RTO charges, finding a good automatic car south of 10L like Jazz is a steal.

Exactly. Puny sub 4m pseudo SUV's & 3-cylinder compact sedans with AMT gearboxes, are selling north of 12L. Venue, Sonet & Brezza are ghastly overpriced for what they offer at 17L OTR. City, Elevate, Seltos, Creta & Hyryder are all comfortably beyond the 20L mark. i20 & Kiger are the closest that we considered before deciding on Jazz but again the prices are near 15L OTR. Then here we have the Jazz, which offers a proper 4-cyl NA Engine, a proper AT gearbox, almost all the USEFUL features & niceties too at sub 10L. Add it the Honda reliability and engineering. Also I don't need to deal with reliability concerns that comes with Turbo chargers, DCT's or AMT's. Its completely a no brainer decision actually for whoever is not swayed by gimmicks masquerading as features

Recall for Fuel Pump

So anyone who has been following the thread (Honda recalls over 90,000 cars over faulty fuel pump) would be aware that Honda had issued a recall to replace fuel pump back in October 2024. While the news was primarily for the Honda Jazz; but impacted cars included all cars in the range for specific manufacturing period of 2017-2018.

First and foremost, to issue a FOC replacement in cars that would essentially be out of warranty speaks volumes. For a manufacturer that isn’t a halo brand any more in terms of sales in India, it reinstates the core belief with which we - general customers - had bought from Honda. A world class company, exuding class practices as well. I will take their mechanically sound albeit “so-called-mundane” cars any day, every day of the week over the “tech-TV screen-LED riddled” modern cars.

Having gotten that off my chest, last week I was informed through email, message and then a call that the part to be replaced on my car was available with the dealer. Needless to say, I was all too happy to schedule a quick appointment to have the job done. I did have a chance to speak with a senior technician, who stated that there have been some incidences of failure, that resulted in Honda issuing the recall. While all cars may not be impacted, it is done to err on the side of caution. What is more interesting to me is that the invoice suggested it is an “updated product”. Could it be a redesigned part? Could it be for the new E20 regime? Maybe. Honda has stated that the impeller in the part may have been defective in such cases.

Nevertheless, have drive about 10kms after the replacement; and there is no perceivable difference in drive or otherwise. Strongly suggest folks here to make sure that the part is changed at their earliest convenience.

Re: Honda Jazz : Official Review

I recently purchased a pre-owned Honda Jazz 2023 ZX CVT with 6,400 km on the odo, from Spinny. It was in an immaculate condition, nobody could even tell it was a used car.

It's my ( and my family's ) first car ever and it's amazing, completely value for money.

Really smooth, practical and family oriented car!

Would appreciate any and all advise and suggestions as this is my very first car. Any tips on how to maintain, service etc would be really helpful.

Also, if someone could tell me the process to avail Honda extended warranty, that would be very helpful. Currently it is under honda's standard warranty.

Congratulations! What price did you get it for?

Stick to the manual for the maintenance schedule and your ownership should be trouble free. You may consider upsizing the tyres to 195/60/R15 in 2028(5 years max life or 50k KMs)

I got it for 8.70 L. I travelled 400 km to buy it as other closer available cars (including Jazz) were older and had more kms on the odo. I booked it in advance knowing fully well that this is the best pre-owned car I could buy below 10 L.

Im loving it. I'm surprised I drive so well and smoothly for a first car buyer. The automatic + CVT combo makes it butter smooth and very easy to drive in traffic.

I currently drive a Honda Jazz(2017 V CVT). It was our old family car, which I took over after my parents purchased a Suzuki Grand Vitara. This is my second post about it's ownership, after I became the primary owner.

Brief context: I took ownership of the Jazz in September 2023. It was registered in Bengaluru and I drove it to Hyderabad, where I am posted for work. Here's the link to my first ownership post (Honda Jazz : Official Review)

My car turned 8 on January 27th, 2025. In the past one year, I have driven a little over 10k kms (10763kms to be precise). Here's my experience with it.

Odometer reading

Mileage and driveability: It's a fuss free car to drive. With practice, I have trained myself to drive sedately, considering the nature of CVT transmission. I drive with a light foot, patiently wait for the speed to build up, and rarely drive enthusiastically. I have realized there's no point in flooring the accelerator, as it just strains the transmission, without any actual effect on the power. I manage to get 13-14kmpl in medium traffic in Hyderabad.

Honda Jazz : Official Review-last_filled.jpg
Overall mileage since I last filled petrol. Mix of highway and heavy city traffic.

Most of the time I spend driving, is in office commute and am a little fortunate, that there is just one traffic light in the entire trip, to and fro (Thanks to HYD traffic police, all the right turns in my route have been blocked and I need to take longer U turns). In peak traffic, the mileage drops to 5-6kmpl with AC on full blast. On the handling front, it's pretty good, nothing extraordinary. Quite comfortable in city roads, doesn't wabble a lot at highway speeds. Hitting three digit speeds with a light load cannot be done with confidence. Overall, happy with it for my current lifestyle. No complaints.

Maintenance: My nearest and probably the only Honda dealers/service chain I could find in Cyberabad area is Pride Honda. The labour cost is actually pretty steep, and these folks love pitching extra service items. My car ended up with quite a bit of cosmetic damage, in the past one year
  • Branch fell on the left A-Pillar on a fine windy day and caused quite a dent
  • Biker lost control while slowing down on ISB road and rammed into my car. The left tail-lamp was broken along with a deep cut along the left side. Even the the rear bumper was damaged.
  • Rodents in my office basement feasted on the wiring. Caused the left lights to not function.
I got these issues fixed along with the 50,000kms service. It costed quite a bomb, enough to buy a second hand Honda Activa. I am genuinely anxious about giving my car for service to these guys. Is there any reliable and reputable FnG garage (Hitec City/Kondapur/Gachibowli) where I can give my car for service ?
The left low beam lamp is dysfunctional and I got a few new scratches after a recent trip to Old City. I'll have to get them fixed once I find a reasonable service center. The only reason I am holding on to this car, is faith that Honda's are reliable and will not have major issues.

On the whole, great experience with the car, except for the bittersweet experience with Pride Honda. Will keep this car for a few more years for sure.

Re: Honda Jazz : Official Review

I've been poring through the official Jazz review pages hoping to find someone who may have purchased a pre-loved 2015 Jazz in 2024/25 but alas I seem to only find folks who have purchased newer models ('17+). I'm currently trying to decide between a '15 60k km Jazz and a '17 80k km Jazz from Spinny vs Cars24 and I'd love if someone could weigh in here? Both are second owners and I've test driven both of them - they have similar levels of scratches here and there an the transmission is extremely smooth for them. It's so smooth that I'm unable to tell that multiple people have used it and their usage patterns aren't reflected in the transmission at all! For a bit of context, I'm a first time car buyer and I wanted a car that was spacious in the front because I'm 190cm and my driving pattern is very sedate as well - the Jazz fits all these checkboxes perfectly!
