Mineral or Synthetic Oil and what grade?
Did they charge for wheel balancing & alignment service? In case of any weights added due to wheel rotation, how did they charge per gram?

Thanks

I didn't check the oil type/grade. They added whichever is default.
They charged about 200-300Rs total for the weights, 2 weights: 100gm and 200gm.

I read a thread about this on team-bhp itself. Feel free to check it out and ask any questions you might have.

Thanks

Re: Honda Jazz : Official Review

A question to fellow owners. Waiting to take delivery of my SV MT today. Is there any specific running-in schedule to follow? Also I believe that the first free service is at 1000 KM. I was planning to do a Gokarna trip from chennai which itself would be nearly 1600 KM. Is it ok to do the first service after this?

It is advisable to get the service done prior to the trip, else they can void your warranty claim on any engine issue in the future as the advised service interval is not followed.

Re: Honda Jazz : Official Review

Finally got my car delivered yesterday. Drove in peak hour traffic. Below are my observations which have been already discussed exhaustively in the thread.

(+) Super spacious and big car feel - I come from an i10
(+) Liked the looks of the car and felt that the stance is very aggressive
(+) Steering feels good to hold.
(+) Absolute delight to drive beyond 2500 RPM. The power on tap seems to be endless though I haven't pushed her much.

(-) Pathetic low end RPM torque. I thought the i10 had a low end response as well but the Jazz simply won't chug along with traffic in the 1st & 2nd gears below 2000 RPM. Existing owners please provide tips on driving in B2B traffic.
(-) Meek horns. Mine comes with dual horns but seems like two scootys hooting.
(-) Audio system looks better than it sounds.
(-) Vibrations in gear lever in 3rd gear. Has anyone experienced this before?

All points spot on. Spacious, looks good, very nice to drive on open roads.

- Traffic driving: Switch down to 1st gear for anything below 30kmph. 2nd gear is useless in traffic. 1st gear only. Rev up the engine slightly before taking off. Traffic driving is awful in Jazz. Only plus side is the noise insulation is very good, and the engine is very silent.

- Horns: I've noticed one thing. My horn sounds weak when no electrical system is active. But the moment I switch on the AC, or headlamps, the horn sounds perfectly loud. Don't know why this is, gonna get it checked out.

- Audio system: Not sure which variant you have, but I have a V and the only thing I've noticed is that the bass isn't the punchiest. But apart from that I'm fairly happy with the audio system. Our previous car had Sony speakers, and I still find my current system better.

- 3rd gear vibrations: Ditto. No idea why. Several other users have reported it in this thread. Apparently has no solution.

Re: Honda Jazz : Official Review

Is there a setting by which we can enable the remote lock to chirp on locking the doors? Maybe due to my OCD habits

Your observations are spot on ! Low end torque is awful, so other than 1st or 2nd gear, you don't have much options. Also, unlike some other cars, you can't start from 2nd gear as car refuses to move. Will take some time getting used to low end response, as it will stall sometimes even in 2nd gear at low speeds if you are not careful!

No vibratios in 3rd gear though.

My horns too sound weak, I have dual-horns (VX model)

AVN system in VX is pathetic. The navigation system is not very intuitive. I have used Garmin/Megallan in US a lot and they were so responsive and easy to use. The one in Jazz has very slow response, doesn't look up addresses properly, especially if you are setting a destination which is in different state! And sometimes its so slow it makes me wonder if its stuck. On top of it, if your engine is turned off and start it back, it takes a long time to turn on. If you connect a USB drive with music on it (I have around 3GB music), it takes forever to find all music. The random option doesn't work fine, and its a pain to switch between music and navigation to ensure the right music plays. Big thumbsdown to the Jazz AVN system.

OK. I can live with this. Just took a 160 km round trip spin in the GST - ECR belt today and am completely blown away with her highway manners. Steering nicely weighs up with speed and the feedback is really good. She is well planted at speeds > 120 km / hr. This is a no nonsense car that may not offer fancy gimmicky stuff but is meant to age well with its owner.

Re: Honda Jazz : Official Review

Looks like Honda has discontinued Sunset Orange color variant in India. Not able to find it in their official website.

That makes all Sunset Orange owners highly exclusive, includes me as well.

I'm surprised! That was one of their unique colours! And it really is a beauty in this shade..
That makes their palette a bit dull. 1 red, 2 grey, 2 white and 1 brown are the only options now.

So I guess it's just us 2 exclusives here so far :P
