Re: Honda Jazz : Official Review

I have received the speed sensing locking kit for the Jazz from aliexpress. I am not in town so will install over the weekend and revert back.

I got the delivery in 20 days flat which is really quick since my previous experience was of over 45 days.

Hello, I was just searching on auto-locking functionality of Jazz. And I came across below article which says, we can customize the functionality/feature. Can the other jazz please comment on this. I can not believe this functionality is missed on premium hatch.

Does this mean there has been an increase in price of the car? I believe this makes the S variant a VFM model if we can get the same safety features as the higher ones. Less than 6L ex showroom for the particular petrol variant makes it a sweet deal. I had to go in for an SV just because of the airbags.

Unfortunately, Jazz in India is sold without the Lock/Unlock button showed in manual. City gets it but Jazz misses it. So much for the premium price expected by Honda.

Next time when I visit ASC, I will check with SA for retrofitting City's Lock/Unlock in Jazz, lets see what ASC has to say. I guess, my request will be turned down saying, its N.A. to Jazz or System can't place order for City's part with Jazz's VIN. I had received a similar response, when I had asked to fit underbody engine cover of Jazz i-dtec model to my Jazz i-vtec.

Yes, you are correct about ABS+EBD. Its better to wait for mandatory Airbags+ABS rule to be implemented in next year, and wait for Honda to fall in line.

You are correct. I will still give it a try with lock/unlock button near inner door handle, let's see if there is a surprise.

Go for the V version and add a rear spoiler to spice up the look!
It changes the curved rear of the Jazz to a more angular one!

In Ahmedabad, the price difference is 53k. And I don't think the stupid touchscreen and the magic seats are worth the extra bucks.

I chose VX for that lovely interior color (nice grey roof lining and inner ABC pillar plastics) and magic seats.

I hate AVN in VX.

The hatch door won't unlock unless you switch off the engine, remove the key and then press unlock button on remote. Otherwise is a very useful device

I agree with this, the magic seats will be of no use practically in day to day life. How many times do we go camping in our car, or how many times do we need that much space for luggage. For that, one can always hire a cab for luggage.

There are tonnes of options better than the company fitted infotainment and AVN available aftermarket IMO.

Re: Honda Jazz : Official Review

Installed the auto door lock chip on the Jazz.

Works well, slot the car in D and the doors lock, slot the car in P and the doors unlock. I won't be missing the lock/unlock button much. Moreover with 2 kids this is a necessary feature for me.

Cost me USD 14 and shipping was quick too.

The 'Speek Lock' should be 'Speed lock' or is it 'Speek' in chinese

Congrats tazmaan. Can you please let me know if this auto door lock is only for Jazz AT or it can work even for Jazz Manual ? Also, it will be helpful if you can detail the installation steps. Not sure if this modification voids the warranty..!!!
