Wow ! Thanks Volkman10 for this piece of information! Its good that such a fabulous engine is given fitting treatment by Maruti Suzuki. Engine is set to roar further with blasting performance!

This will allay market fears and hopefully sales of 1.6 would pick up due to this.

Wow!!! Good news. Maruti will not give up easily and succumb to the pessimists

They have made a somewhat successful entry in the higher segment of cars and if they discontinue the very first product (320DDiS) in the first year itself, that goes as a sour point in their track record.

I said "That is exactly what it was. What about my Nexa card? How long should I wait for it" Then he says "Sir, I forgot to add your details into the system for the card. I will do it right away. Sir, next time please call me directly for any concerns".

And then I received the card in 6 days at home. So much for a premium service.
Has your experience been bad all round or just in the case of your NEXA Card? Mine has always been the same be it the car's registration to changing the number plates and also for the RC card. Seems all the premium-ness is limited to the pre-sales period.

Folks, is there any confirmation on whether maruti is updating the ecu software to reduce turbo lag in 2015 models of 1.6?

Very good move!! Finally after 9 months, Maruti has resumed import. Few posts back I had expressed my opinion about why Maruti is not importing the engine even with surge in sales for 1.6 S-Cross.

Maruti exports S-Cross to Indonesia. Do they get 1.6 diesel also?

Nope. Indonesia is a petrol driven market. S Cross 1.5L (P)is launched there and we will get it in 2017.
Same is the case with Vitara Brezza petrol variant.

Hi Dr.Naren! Take a look , my zeta with Team BHP sticker !!

Had a 200 Kms trip yesterday on NH-1. Car sprints nicely and has superb braking. I also think that in this car during drive I feel more sleepy compared to my Alto K-10 car with all health parameters remains unchanged . Is it due to S-Cross comfort? Also I missed the cruise control so as to keep maximum possible legal speed otherwise speed keep varying 5-10 Kmph easily manually.

Hi Sip,
Yes. S-Cross is much more comfortable to drive as well as in backseat. My wife used to have very terrible headaches whenever we used to go long drives in our Alto K10 (2012 model). But, it was not the case even once after switching over to S-Cross.
We had quite a number of long drives in S-Cross (Twice Bangalore - Mumbai, Bangalore - Thrissur and Bangalore - Mookampika). I also never felt the tiredness in any of the long drives.

By the by, is your registration number a temporary one? It appears to be a different pattern as a third alphabet (T) before the number.

Your car looks awesome with the stickers.. Me too have the TBHP sticker (Got BHP?) in the same position

Nice buddy!! LTD sticker is meant for 1.6 S-Cross. I used that sticker on my other cars before I bought S-Cross .

I too had Alto K10 ( Old model). I liked that car only for performance. S-Cross feels effortless on highways. Driver would be enjoying the Humongous Torque and rear passengers feel home at back seat, thanks to well reclined seats and mature suspension setup.

I have used cruise control only 3 or 4 times. Never got many chances to use that feature on our roads.

Would love to have TBHP stickers. Where to get them? Seen a lot of these but never asked where to find them. The adhesive must be really good on these, I assume.

I have April 2016 S-Cross 1.6. According to my SA, Maruti has fine tuned the map in my car/recent batch of 1.6. I asked a service guy today if there is any update for old batch and he said did not receive any circular about it. I wonder why Maruti can't provide it to previous owners. Also those who have got 1.6 recently have said in this thread that they do not find turbo lag a big problem.

The S cross indeed is a comfortable long distance mile muncher. You never feel when you have reached triple digit speeds. I was able to use the cruise control which really gave some rest to my right knee. For narrow KL roads, weird speed limits and maniac drivers, I found the S Cross a bit wider. The k10 is perfect for city runs but a bit cramped for long drives.
The cross resting after a 1350km journey.

It won't wear out, the treads will stay as is irrespective of the mileage and eventually there will be minor cracks. That's how JK tyres are.

And only when you make the swap to better tyres (and this will easy as most brands offer a significant advantage over JK), you will regret as to why you didn't think of a change earlier. JK is ridiculed by most for all the right reasons.

If you like the S-Cross now, you are going to love your machine for ride comfort, cabin insulation, grip on corners - both dry and wet, and acceleration off the line once you ditch those JK tyres.

We had JK on our A-Star ZXi and change to even a modest brand like Apollo Acelere came as a revelation. I can only imagine how a good set of tyres like the Michelin P3ST will transform the S-Cross.
