Note that my S-Cross doesn't run on JK slippers and wears much sturdier Michellin P3ST shoes ever since the day of delivery.
That's a very reassuring statement for a prospective S-Cross buyer. Just a question here. Have you just changed the tyres to Michelin or have you upsized as well?

I have put the same 205/60/R16 section tires as I didn't find the need to upsize. However, if you test drive a Brezza and like its handling better I'd suggest you to go with the wider 215 tires. It'll make the rider slightly better but will also cause more rolling resistance and hence a slightly lower FE. I'd still recommend a longer (>30min) test drive of the S-Cross before buying. You'll come out very pleased. ☺

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Has anyone gone for aftermarket sound proofing of their s-cross to reduce NVH levels? Please share.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Hi All, As part of Dussera celebrations(Ayudha Pooja) I wanted to give a bit of upgrade to my S-Cross. Took my car to 3M and opted for Paint Protection Film for the front and back Bumpers and Mirrors. Additionally opted for the CR 70 film for my windscreen and also the powershine wax treatment. Car looks shining and all the Minor scratches are removed! Happy to see the car glowing back to its richness color.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Record milage or something not OK?

Today I tested my 1.6 S-cross on highway for about 190 Kms for milage at RPM below 2000 and speed 85-90 on NH 1 in 6th gear most of the time. First picture indicate milage with some 7 kms of trotting around in 3-4 gear. While second picture include total of 20 kms in 3-4-5 gear. I took care to drive by keeping throttle input constant as far as feasible. I must say it is neither possible to drive s-cross always in the manner I did today nor I would do so for milage!

Has any fellow BHPian ever achieved such figures ?

EDIT : persons on board till first picture - driver + none

From first picture onwards : driver +2

On 6th gear @80-90 km/hr you ought to get great mileage. Just double check with tank to tank method.

I too have got 25 KMPL plus in my 1.6 S-cross. Be very gentle on throttle and it gives amazing FE. Speed/RPM/Gear doesn't matter much compared to throttle input for FE. I have got even 12 KMPL when I was hard on throttle .

I usually maintain 100 KMPH in 5 th gear and have always got 23-24 KMPL. I use 6 th gear only on empty roads.

I have noticed the S-Cross MID has a roughly 1.5kmpl margin of error when compared to calculations done via tank-to-tank autocut method. I travel west delhi to gurgaon, 56~58km round trip 6 days a week at peak hours and I have about 19.5 kmpl on my MID. A full tank lasts me about 2 weeks. I have set mileage to reset upon refuelling.

10 weeks is almost December end. Get a 2017 car in that case, unless there is a big discount.

Hi Eddy. Wanted to do that, but my Linea was due for major repairs and so had to sell it of. Now pushing them for earlier delivery. I generally keep a car for 6 years, so generally never bother about the dates.

Few ways back I was in Nexa Baner, I think you are referring to the same place. They said the waiting period was around 6 weeks for 1.3 zeta. I am sure you can bring it down to less than 10 weeks.

I had 2 test drives with the 1.3 Scross and they were total opposites. One very good and the other had a loud engine, horrible NVH (I looked out the passenger window multiple times to see if the window or door were open), the AC blower very loud. I am totally confused and scared if that will be how the car will turn up in a couple of years. Any long term owners here with similar or better experience with Scross?

I had a test drive of 1.3 a week back. The test car had 24k on the odo.

For people familiar with Bangalore, I did the test drive on NICE road on a lazy Sunday afternoon as I wanted to check out the top end performance of the 1.3.

Not only was the NVH on the car good, the engine felt very refined even at top speeds. There was no excessive wind or tire noise. Maybe it was a one off case of a test drive car maintained well. There was no dearth of power and it attained top speeds without a fuss and I could cruise at 140 on the empty expressway. I am comparing this directly to the tractor like sound the 1.3 mjd makes in my Punto. Suzuki have done a really good job on the 1.3 in the Scross.
