Haha, no need to think or analyse more regarding this. Mr. O has clearly said that the wear is uneven and he has done alignment only at MASS. I am sure it's not done properly and hence uneven wear and tear. I have run 16500 KM on stock tyres and there are no signs of thread wear lol:. These tyres are very hard and good for bad roads. I am planning to upgrade because grip, high speed stability, braking, road noise and comfort are just average. Strong sidewall and more thread life would be the only advantage.

I have the opposite problem Mr.O . I want the tires to be worn out so that I can replace them with something better. :D Mine is only 14k and the tires looks very new.

Point number 2 is the culprit I believe. Like I said above, we tend to have a bit of fun in the twisties.

High lateral loading (having fun in corners) + well laid tarmac can wear a tyre out faster.

A well laid tarmac will increase the contact surface and there by generate more friction and heat.

And well laid roads in Kerala (rubberised and machine paved) with its sharp and fast corners can be an absolute monster for not so well engineered tyres in a capable car.

I am not saying accelerated wear is due to that alone, maybe the alignment is also not in the best shape which adds to the equation.

I would say ditch those sad JKs as soon as possible and do justice to your machine. :)

Guys, what's your take on the below? These are D5S, but 55W & has higher lumen output. Being D5S, it should be a direct fit on our SCross. If you know or have any HID experts in your friends circle, please get an authenticated opinion for me please. Thank you

Ya, this looks fine. But it's showing as out of stock. Honestly, I don't think it's worth that price. There are 3 inch Bixenon Fog Projectors in Ali Express which would cost around 6000-8000 Rs.

Did the 3M Nomad mat installation and the tyre change to Michelin Primacy 3ST 205/60 R16 from stock JK Elanzo. The 3M mats cost Rs. 304/- per sq. ft. and the stock tyres were exchanged for Rs 3000/- each. The Michelin tyres cost 7750/- per tyre and after discount came up to an extra Rs. 19000/-, but totally worth the change. The first 40 km run on the JK tyre were okay, but once I changed the tyres I could really feel the difference like the car was moving on air. It is totally worth the price paid. Thanks to all the fellow S-cross owners for their inputs in this thread.

No need to have them in the boot. The cost is 304 per sq. ft, total of 23 sq ft., came up to Rs.6900/-, got discount of 500/-, paid Rs. 6400/-.
