How much are you charged for EGR Cleaning and how long is the car at MASS for this job work?

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

~2000 bucks and it is a 4 hour job. Add washing etc and it takes half a day. This was for my swift.

I saw this at my MASS, EGR valve cleaning is included in paid service cost for 30k, 60k and 90k.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

My Samsung A6 (2016) version has stopped connecting to Android Auto after I got the official flash done :(. I checked with other phones and all worked seamlessly. It used to work before when I had flashed it using the link on TBHP. Any ideas?

Thanks. But if IPHCAR is what Xenon Planet was using and most bhpians are using then i'd prefer it.

If I have to order the projectors and the ballast + bulbs then does this fit the bill?

Total 70+75 = 145 usd. That should be under Rs. 10,000/-

What do you say?

Dealers were charging separately for EGR cleaning few years back. I had asked multiple times that EGR cleaning is mentioned in the user manual and why charge extra? Good they have made it clear now. But S-Cross 1.6 doesn't need EGR cleaning every 30k km, still the Labour is more . This should be corrected, I have already asked the dealer and have been assured that it will be taken up with regional office / higher level.

Sinolyn is also a good brand and the output is really good. IPHCAR and Sinolyn look exactly the same from outside, I won't be surprised if they are the same with different names

For Alpha : Rs. 91815
The price list is from Suraksha Bangalore!
We had a first generation Alto and when Alto was face lifted in 2004, the dealer offered us to convert our Alto to the new one by claiming insurance. We didn't go for it, but one of my friends did that and he had to pay only the compulsory deductible. I wonder whether they entertain this now.

Hahaha!! This is not right . This can be done when both insurance surveyor and body shop manager support it. Basically cheating the insurance company to face lift your car .

Was feeling the clutch a bit hard, just took the car to MASS. Got the Master & Slave Cylinders replaced under warranty.

It was the penultimate day of warranty period, the car was with MASS for 02 days. Got it back with a super smooth clutch; slight improvement in pick-up is also observed.

02 years of ownership completed! Enjoying the car even more now!

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Thanks to my friend @valhallen.282, he came over and upgraded my 2016 Scross' HU to the latest 1750 update. He used the same firmware which was used on his Ignis. We checked on the maruti website for a map upgrade but nothing was available.
Although i'm an iOS user, the itch of seeing Google maps work on my HU screen has finally been realised and I like it.

Few Observations after the upgrade
1. iPhone/Carplay doesnt connect automatically when the car is switched on. You need to disconnect & reconnect the cable. Never had that problem in 1740
2. Google maps on AA works like a charm (whenever the HU doesn't freeze)
3. The HU freezes randomly only when AA is connected (Maybe I need to use a really good quality cable) and to make it work again, disconnect cable, reconnect, wait few seconds and it works (till it freezes again)
4. The whole UI has become a bit laggy and slow unlike before.

Overall, since I just wanted to see Google Maps work on my HU, I am not complaining much and can live with these niggles.

Apologies for the delay. Have been using the XP Micro's for ~6 months now and it is in good condition without any damages. To give you some idea, my vehicle has been through some rough roads, experienced heavy rains during the monsoon season, got drenched in a drive-in beach etc. and they are holding up very well so far.

Thanks for your response. Gives some assurance. I will be getting XP Micros fit next week.

Though I'm happy with the product, I feel extremely lucky to have few fellow bhpian friends whose expertise and skills ensured the car got the most safest and robust install. High beams on projector fog lights are useless and creates unnecessary wiring issues if not done properly.

Details are here if you would like to give it a read : http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/diy-do...ml#post4260127

Reading through various posts such as this by fellow bhpian GSMINC, there seems to be alternative options for aftermarket projector fog lights at half the price compared to what some of us paid for the XP Micro.

Noted. I will be present during the install to ensure that no shabby work is done.

Also, since I cannot wait too long, I decided to go for XP Micros. I'm aware that the same product is available for much better prices. Thanks!
