Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

My good friend Sheikh Ershad from Kochi is a proud owner of two S-Cross 1.6 and has remapped both of them from Wolf Moto .

Now he has done more mods on his first 1.6.

Mods Done :

1. Wolf Moto Performance Remap
2. Grid 7 Customs Full Exhaust System
3. BMC DIA ( Done at Grid 7 )

Grid 7 Custom Donwpipe

BMC DIA

Maruti S-Cross : Official Review-img20181114wa0012.jpg
0-100 run ( I would say it's very good considering bad launch and massive wheelspin )

Exhaust Sound

The exhaust and intake setup has helped to improve the low end further and engine feels more eager to revv.

Special Thanks to our friends Vishnu and Rahul and also Robin and Prasad from Grid 7 for taking care and working on the car as the owner (Sheikh) was at Dubai during that time .

Yes, it does and very easily too . Mr. Sheikh's 1.6 is already little faster than mine and it's a proper Stage 2 setup. We need to time the car soon.

My car with stock intake does 0-100 in 7.9 seconds. Don't think any diesel car below 30 lakhs has better timing .

Glow plug doesn't get covered under extended warranty (As I was informed).
I did not harp on that and paid from my pocket.

Even Maruti covers them under extended warranty. I had replaced them under extended warranty in SX4. I also know few S-Cross 1.6 owner's who got Glow plugs changed under EW too.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Just received these pics from my friend. He has crossed 1 lakh Kms in his 1.6 .

I believe this is also one of the most fuel efficient 1.6. He has kept all the logs and average fuel economy till date is 17.6 kmpl. FE has also improved by 0.5 kmpl after Wolf Remap. The car has done more than 40k kms post remap.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

I have a question. Does the alpha auto irvm fits directly onto the zeta irvm mount or the mount needs to be changed?

Yeah, it's a direct fit. However, the alpha has a small plastic bit to hide the wiring.

The dealer was not able to procure that part for me, so the small wire is exposed in our car, from the IRVM to the headliner.

Thanks. Can you tell me the part number of the mirror assembly? Also, does it come with the wiring?

The alpha IRVM is available here.

Is this the same part you got?

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Last week when I was driving back to Thrissur from Thodupuzha, an Eon came and hit my right ORVM and also scratched the rear door and drove away without stopping. With the sound, I thought the complete mirror set was damaged, luckily only the glass was missing, the electric adjustment and the turn indicator light were working fine and there was only a minor scratch on the cover. Unfortunately the Dashcam resolution was kept low and the Eon was on high beam, so the number plate was not visible.

It was difficult to drive without mirror, but reached safely though it took more time than usual. Checked with the local MGP store and they didn't have stock, so ordered from boodmo (Rs. 333). It took 7 days to get it delivered, and it was in a MGP packing. Installation is easy - just align it properly and press on the centre of the mirror to lock.

The tyres are everlasting, but you would desire to have better ones when you are cruising on highways with your infotainment system switched off. Those who use the Elanzos know the reason.

Estimate cost is 10K.
