The car is out of warranty now.
Thanks
Checking cranking voltage. If it drops drastically, time for a battery change.

Wow. Congratulations.. This turns out to a monthly average of 3800KM and daily average of 128KM.
One of the highest mileage among S-Cross owners.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Folks, need a suggestion from the group. My S-Cross is now three plus years old. When I had got the car, I had gotten the transparent plastic kind floor mats as part of the accessories package and I have been using noodle mat from 3M on that. Over time, I am now bored with the noodle mats and the driver side mat is totally bald. To add to that the front passenger side mat is losing shape as well and keeps folding up. Any suggestions for an alternate floor mat for S-Cross. When I check online, I am not sure if it would be the custom size. Also not sure if as part of the genuine accessories Maruti has a new set of floor mats.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

@SD02107, look at 3D mats. My noodle mats at the driver side may need changing, but other than that, they are spic and span. I saw some good mats at aliexpress too. YMMV.

In other news, the car crossed 69k and the factory set of JKs will be changed tomorrow morning. Expect pics tomorrow.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

So, yesterday, upgraded the tires to Primacy 4. This was the new choice from the P3ST. The Primacy 4 comes with upgraded side wall reinforcement. The car rolls smoother. The tire noise at higher speed is very very less compared to erstwhile JKs.

The stock size was retained. As far as I knew, this was the max width the older rims could accommodate.

Also the car was taken for a much needed wash.

Does that mean they are less prone to punctures compared to P3ST?
Did you notice significant difference in ride quality as compared to JK?
Also if you don't mind could you share the price paid for these?

1. I hope so. I have heard about the soft sidewalls on the P3ST.
2. Ride quality is leagues ahead of JKs but do not know when compared to the P3STs. The tires are not as rich as the old Turanza ER60 which I used on the ritz. I still have a soft corner for that tire. The P4STs definitely roll smoother. The roll is noticeably quieter.
3. 7830/- * 4 plus balancing and alignment.

tires have a date stamp of 4518 on them, so they are relatively newer than I expected. Made in Thailand.

Great, Congratulations

I just completed 60000km in 3 years and 5 months
Still have not given for 60k service
Clutch plate is a bit worn off and I think it would need replacement
The clutch has become more heavier
Though turbolag is controlled after remap, the chore of changing gears in Cochin traffic is wearing me a bit
Thinking of replacing it with an automatic
But the ride, steering feel, brakes and high speed stability is uncomparable to any automatic under 20L..
Hoping that Maruti would bring in an autobox for S cross with the 1.5 DDIS225

Yes. The older rims are 6 x 16 and 205MM is the maximum tyre width advised for this rim size.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Took a test drive of the S Cross, I really liked its suspension and handling, 1248cc multijet has a good midrange, but it will be ultimately replaced, by a new engine, by 2020, any news when it is going to be replaced, with the in house suzuki 1.5 diesel engine. Heard about its launching in Ciaz and Ertiga, in February 2019, but no news about the S Cross.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Can anyone please tell me (and if possible share a pic) where the fuse box and OBD2 port is located? Mine is older pre-facelift 2017 1.3 zeta.

There are 2 fuse boxes. The main one is on the passenger side of the engine bay, in front of the strut mounts, behind the battery. You can see a black top there. Yank that blank top to get to the fuse box. The second one is inside the passenger side footwell. You would need to remove the glove box and a little bit of carpeting. Follow the A-pillar downwards and you will again hit a similar black box there, it is a little hard to open, but you can get to that eventually.

I can understand your frustration. Read my older post here - https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/offic...ml#post4291457 (Maruti S-Cross : Official Review)

The OBD2 port is very easy to reach, it is right next to the bonnet release lever in the driver side.

BTW, it would good to read sudeeps brilliant guide at
https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/diy-d...tallation.html (S-Cross DIY: TPMS & 12V socket installation)

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

I was going through Suzuki internal training document which highlights the differences between SX4 and S-Cross

SX4 RW is Old SX4
SX4 AKK is S-Cross

Suzuki has reduced weight of suspension parts in S-Cross. Front shocks have been beefed up and stabiliser bar at rear has been removed. Not sure if these are the reasons because of which I always found SX4 is better at handling than S-Cross.

One thing I know for sure after driving both the Diesel and Petrol SX4s for super long distances (More than 1500 Km) is that they were definitely superior to most Marutis in terms of handling and ride as well. It always felt planted.

However, where S-Cross fared better was in terms of composed steering response and feedback and along with its current suspension set-up, it leaves with an impression that it is better than SX4 which also exhibits little bit of body roll due to taller stance and had a not so good steering response and feedback.
