Gave the car to SC on Monday, claiming insurance, for the second time this year. I will have to shell out approximately INR 2000 for the fix. Bonnet, LHS headlight and bumper (metal parts) will be replaced. Delivery is expected on 05/21.

Also found couple of spots on the windshield chipped by flying stones.

Mods, sorry for back to back posts, looks like everyone has sold their S-Cross.

Another milestone crossed today.

1,11,111 KMs comes up in 2.7 years of ownership, ignore the FE, the trip meter was just reseted before taking the picture.

Hi members!

I took delivery of a new S Cross Zeta (Nexa Blue) last month from Roham Motors Nexa, Noida. After reading through this long thread... it seems like a reliable car. Look forward to posting my updates in coming days.

S-Cross 1.6 : Stage 3 Wolf Remap (Low Torque)

The car belongs to a friend and running similar setup as my car except for slightly low power tune. The car made 185 HP / 404 NM on dyno. Forget the peak figures, the way in which torque and power is held even at higher RPM is impressive. The car is doing 300+ NM even at 4200 RPM.

The car will never accelerate this fast on roads though

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Had a wonderful drive in my S Cross after installing BMC Air Filter.
Definitely feels more power under the hood. Not much of change in the way engine sounds. At least I couldn't make out. This stock replacement performance air filter fits in perfectly edge to edge. No need to attach the side rubber trim as in stock filter. Filters 7 microns and above when compared stock 10 microns and above. This filter needs to be regenerated every 15-20k using the BMC cleaning kit.

Key highlights -
1. Feels more power in each gear
2. Could shift up-to 4th gear where usually I was driving in 3rd
4. 1st gear usage reduced.
5. Managed with 2nd gear in most occasions where I had to shift to 1st.
6. Highway drive got a lot better. Car easily picks triple digit speeds.
7. No need to shift down to 4th gear frequently for over taking vehicles.
8. Mileage is unimpaired and getting marginally better mileage

Overall, do not expect a drastic difference but BMC certainly makes driving better.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Hello ,

Is there any clarity on the launch date of S cross
Petrol ?

Once launched what would be the price difference in Alpha or Zeta against their diesel sibling ?

Regards

Where did you purchase it from and how much was the cost? Did you install it yourself?

Here's a comparo of Wolf Stage 1 vs Wolf Stage 3 S cross 1.6 from the same Instagram page, hence same dyno.

While peak + high RPM torque is slightly better in Stage 3, low end torque is measurably lower than in Stage 1. Stage 3 torque only overtakes Stage 1 torque after 2400 RPM, which means that for anyone who spends even a moderate amount of time in the city, the Stage 1 tune should be a better choice.

Stage 3 cars have slightly bigger turbo which spools a bit late (say 200 to 250 RPM). As I said before, it's not about peak figures, Stage 3 S-Cross has good amount of torque held at even higher RPM which makes more power.

Also this car was put on dyno immediately after remap. The figures would be better after ECU adapting to new changes. I will dyno my car soon which is running more powerful stage 3 map.

I would say S-Cross 1.3 is better for city driving .

Stage 1 remap for S-Cross 1.6 would satisfy the majority, we have 50+ cars in our group with Stage 1 Wolf and only 2 cars with Stage 3 setup .

Powerhaus is the official distributor in Bengaluru. But I bought it from Amazon.
It is priced at Rs 6,990/-. Installation was very easy indeed. I did it myself

I heard that stock speakers are of Nippon. But when opened and checked, no speaker brand was mentioned.
