Paint Sealant treatments for newer cars are cheaper rates at 3M as fastener levels are less since paint is fresh without debris.

When my Swift was new, IIRC, I paid 4K for it. So expect SCross to be on the range of 9-11K since it is a larger vehicle that comes in a different category.

On your tyre change, you have gone for 215 or 205/ 60 R16? How much did it cost you?

Get the 3M paint sealant done (for cars <6 months).
Tyre Change - I have gone with 205/60 R16. No change in Spec. The new tires cost me Rs. 9100 per tyre and the JK's were exchanged at Rs. 3900 per tyre.

Here's the confusion with 3M. They have UV protection (Rs. 5500). Under body protection (Rs. 4400). They say that UV protection is the paint sealant. They have this plastic coating on the paint which expensive cars like Merc's & Volvo's were getting done. This will cost me ~11K

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Got the delivery of my caffeine brown S cross.
Took it straight to the tyre shop
Swapped it for 16 inch GTR - 'Merc GTA look-a-like' alloys and Hankook 225-55-r16 (overkill, but I loved the look)
Detailed review after weekend drive, Onam celebrations and a good photoshoot.
Its not a hatchback, Its not a sedan, Its not an SUV, Its not a crossover
Its my brown little hippo.

Wishing a happy Onam to all my fellow bhpians..

Which 3M have you visited? Would suggest the paint sealant after a couple of months.
Thanks Arjun! I already got the tyres changed at Cherry Agencies. But will keep a record of Shankar's number for future use.

I visited the 3M at JP Nagar. Went there to buy shampoo and a couple of micro fiber cloths. I will go with your advise and wait for a while before going for the 3M treatments. Thanks!

Congratulations and Onam wishes too. Good to see so many owners of the S Cross here.

Could you share the price of the alloys or the package with Tires?

I paid 7k for paint sealant program for my duster a month back , scross should be almost the same or a little lower to that .

Congrats Sandy, wishing you a happy mile munching with your Hungry Hippo

And the Alloys, wow man - worth drooling, and the 225 in pics atleast doesn't look an overkill. But they look to fill the well better and give a majestic look to the Cross along with the Alloys...

Shankar Enterprises, Shop no: 4 & 5, Vasu complex, New B.E.L.Road, Bangalore 54
+91 98-45-973001 mobile.

It's near MSR hospital. He does have tyres and also alloys. If I am not mistaken BNM got his Creta alloys here.

Heartiest Congratulations! So you got the delivery JIT

The S-Cross looks smashing in this color, just looks like a toned down CR-V in this color (pardon my ignorance).

I read in one of the posts on this thread that, Tyre upsize my void the warranty. Did you check that?

Wishing you lots of happy miles and more smiles per mile!

Congratulations sandygordon and wish you a happy onam. As stated earlier I got the premium silver 1.3 zeta version.

How much did the alloys cost. I only changed the tires and will go for the alloys in a year's time.

A couple of questions.
1) When you lock the car, do you see a red blinking light in the center console below the hazard light switch?
2) Have you figured out how to switch on the fog lights (New to Maruti cars after a decade of Hyundai's)
3) On the accessories front, I have not yet got the illuminated sill guards and the carpets. Did your dealer in Kerala give you these accessories?

Congratulations on the buy Deserves a new ownership thread, this. Afterall most of us here have been reading about your dilema on which car to buy, whether or not to buy the S-Cross, which variant and now finally delivery. Here's to millions of trouble-free ownership. I sense that you will have a good time with this car

See doc, I have been with you for sometime now, reading all your posts and responses to those and even replying to some.
Do you really think that you will get away with those 4 pics?
Many congratulations, the alloys looks stunning and those 225 section tyres are going to give you joy of a lifetime. I am just wondering what a remap can do to your little brown hippo.
