I have run around 8000 KM post remap and no issues till date. I know 8000 KM is not a big thing.
Good to know about the gearbox - hope it holds up for the next 3 years (and you tell us that it did hold up!), will help a lot of us to confidently remap post warranty expiry.

Does the same hold true for the clutch as well? Will that also be able to handle the additional torque?

Yes, I would be updating about the car on my thread. I have seen many guys who hide the issues and write about only good stuff on forums. I have mentioned everything honestly about the minor issues faced initially during remap and how I got a good remap finally. As I said above, 8000 KM is nothing to comment on reliability factor. Clutch is holding the additional torque very well. My Car has done 0-100 launches more than 20 times, I would consider myself lucky here .

Driving Style
Drive pattern
Maintenance schedule

If all three are good, nothing should go wrong.

In last 10 years of driving tuned diesel cars, I'm yet to face a gearbox issue.

S-cross 1.6 clutch is pretty strong, can take a lot of torque without slipping.

Regarding the Spoiler mounting, I can see 3 holes which are perfectly closed with hole closures (Looking at that it appears as came from factory. That much perfection) other than the 2 stainless steel bolt heads which is confirmed to be the mounting of HMSL frame.

No other mountings / holes are visible from the inside top end of the boot door where the spoiler is anchored.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Spoke to the RMA - he said "99%" all owners of older touchscreen units will receive free a Software upgrade for Android Auto. He mentioned that when first launched, the touchscreen did not have Apple CarPlay but that was offered as a free upgrade, so they assume the same will happen in the case of AA.

Can any one post the home screen of the touch screen infotainment system after the Apple car play update. Is there any difference the way the 2nd quadrant looks. During my 3rd service, it was said that Apple car play is updated. Since I do not have an Iphone, did not test so far. But, the looks of the home screen is exactly the same as it was before the update. Just wanted to know how to make sure that the software been updated.

I do hope so too. I am extremely disappointed with the 4th quadrant not working since day one. Worst is no SE has any clue. So much for a premium service.

Me too in same boat. I do not have an IPhone. So, apple car play is of no use. Also, the smartphone linkage with Mirrorlink is available for a few selected models.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

The chaps at Nexa Lower Parel can only be called "incompetent". Since I am collecting the car tomorrow, they called me today to pay for the accessories - some 9k odd. On arriving there, some guy was singing Hindi songs in a fake American accent. I had ordered the auto-dimming IRVM in December; they now claimed and I am not kidding

"We had one in stock - we installed it but it was not working. We have re-ordered it - please collect your vehicle and bring it back next week for the installation." I wanted to see the car and I sincerely doubt they bothered installing it.

I paid for the balance accessories - and since I was paying by card they said they would charge a 2.5% surcharge. It was only 70 rupees but I was still pretty annoyed. I have paid the entire amount for the car by cheque - they could be a little courteous. I wanted the illuminated door sills - they look quite good in my Elite i20 - but I reckon I shall get it done from an accessory store - I have downloaded the Cartisan app and contacted those chaps. All our previous Suzukis were bought from Vitesse in Worli and never once have we had a cause for complaint. I wish those guys had a Nexa showroom too.

On a side-note, while the Ignis was attracting footfalls, the people were naturally gravitating toward the Baleno after looking at the Ignis.

As I posted earlier - within a couple months S-cross and Baleno will be offered an upgrade to Android Auto; the first batch for the S-cross came without Apple Car Play and this was updated by Suzuki for free.

Apple CarPlay doesn't support maps in India yet which in my opinion limits its use if you want live traffic updates.

For a comparison, 1.3 20000 kms 4th service cost differs in the following 2 items only

Oil filter - Rs 350
Engine oil 5W30 3.2 ltr - Rs 1600

Other items / labour is almost same.

Got my S-Cross yesterday. 1.3 Zeta. It came with new alloys! They look much better than the earlier ones
