Congratulations !!. Did you get this done at service center or got the 1740 update at your end and done by yourself?

Taking the liberty to answer this as I see Ajay is offline currently. He has followed the steps provided by Dr. Naren in one of the previous posts and done it by himself. As there are still some issues with the flash, MASS is not yet rolling this out en-masse. Hope this helps!

Thanks Abhinav.
If that's the case, then the 1740 bootable update files are available with BHPians. Can any one share the files in any shared drives like google drive or some where?. It will be much helpful to the entire community.

The upgrade went as expected, failed at 96% and went on to 100%. The Android Auto works most of the time on the OnePlus 3T. It is nice to have google maps. The audio related apps can have BeyondPod integrated, so it is super duper.

Why do I have a feeling that instead of sharing the files on cloud, the Nexans of team-bhp would meet somewhere after a long drive and help each other update the ICE and then drive off leaving a cloud of dust behind?

That looks all very good. Do update after a longer review of the same. I am going for a short night drive with a friend right now. Hope everything goes as planned and the update doesn't require me to have the car standing still, like the video playback 🤣

Updated Android auto. Need to explore further to check all the functionalities. Tested Navigation and it's working perfectly. I'm using Redmi Note 3.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

UPDATE SUCCESSFUL!! Thanks to Dr.Naren for his help with this. Following his directions, the firmware upgrade was a simple process.

Connected the pen drive and it booted up the firmware upgrade as expected. No dramas, but it takes about 15 minutes to install.

Expectedly, the update fails at 96% and the unit reboots. I didn't re-insert the pen drive, it automatically started installation on reboot.

It took another 15 minutes or so but this time it went on to be 100% successful. The pen drive was taken out at this point, as indicated. The system rebooted in about a minute.

Phone automatically showed up Android Auto upon connection, bluetooth was connected. If you don't have the Android Auto app installed, it will automatically start downloading. Takes about 5 minutes to setup, requires the handbrake to be applied on first installation.

The most important aspect was Google Maps. It works flawlessly and smoothly. Spent 15 minutes driving around, traffic updates are there, voice commands for addresses and POI's works just like the Google Maps app on the phone.

Additional things to be noted:
1. Voice quality of calls is lower than the bluetooth connection. Will test more.
2. Voice commands button needs a press&hold to fire up in Android Auto.
3. On the home screen, usual voice commands work as earlier.
4. Music via Google Play Music works. Will check more supported apps.
5. WhatsApp notifications show up. One-touch reply available "I am driving."
6. The phone cannot be accessed while Android Auto is connected.
7. Updating firmware will reset all settings (FM, Bluetooth devices, etc)
8. Settings have an option to set either Android Auto or MirrorLink as default.

Final Note: This update brings a very crucial update to the Suzuki SmartPlay Infotainment. If you own an Android phone, Android Auto is a must have. All other functions of the unit work as they previously did. I would highly recommend upgrading. This update is optional for Apple users, it doesn't bring anything new.

One question to all those who have upgraded to 1740.

At what stage does one remove the Map My India SD Card?

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Here are some screen grabs after the update. Operating Google Maps, Gaana and other apps from the car's system is much better and easier while driving. Of course, we all should take precaution of not diverting attention.

Congrats Sree and everyone else who got the Android update. Now you made me jealous and can any one of you mention how you got the files? I read all the posts but no one mentioned how you had received the files

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Hello folks!

I'm sorry if this has been answered before, I searched but couldn't find a definitive answer. I have an S-Cross 1.3 Zeta and I find the headlight bulbs aren't good enough. I'm looking to replace these with something better and I'm looking for recommendations for good replacement bulbs. Any help is appreciated.
