That's odd!!! Did you run over any hard objects or potholes during any of your drives?

Someone I know had run into this issue at such a short interval because he didn't notice a large pothole. It's very difficult for the suspension to fail at such a short interval

Anyways it won't happen because of one pothole . I don't baby my car so much. I did not face oil leak from shocks so early in other cars in my garage. As per Maruti, they will replace the shocks under warranty if there is any oil leak (no questions asked )

Ooh! Very unfortunate doc! I have done 25k and touch wood, no such issues till this point.

However, Im afraid this might have something to do with the driving pattern and might not be a manufacturing defect.

Just curious, at what speeds do you normally take the speed breakers? Or did you happen to crash into one or into a pothole? Or, do you happen to take very bad roads frequently or at higher speeds?

Would be great if you can throw some light on these for other owners and prospective to get a better picture.

Of course not, but then there is an instance where a colleague got two flat tyres because of the terrible road conditions he encountered in some parts of our country. But even then it's hard for me to digest that it failed so early and I wonder if others should expect it. Did you ask MASS if they have any other reports of early suspension failure? Or is yours a one off case? Also, i wonder if the additional gain in power from remaps has played a part in this.

We can't say. It might be that particular batch were not up to mark. I had same issue in my SX4 too (Driven same way). But that was at almost 50K km and MASS replaced under extended warranty.

I slow down on all big speed breakers. But, I have taken few rumble strips at good speeds when there is no traffic.

My drive is always on highways and do not remember crashing into any pothole.

Yes, I asked. Nothing specific to S-Cross. Oil leak from shocks and replacing it under warranty is not a rare sight at MASS. The stock Gabriel shocks are just average.

Thanks

And you should be named as Official Warranty claiming Expert.

We have 100BHP on one side who fought with Maruti for 50 days to get warranty and you on the other side observe an issue in the morning and by evening your warranty is approved.

Also IIRC you got the turbo replaced under warranty for your Hyundai Grandi10 and sx4 as well.

Shall definitely buzz you if my car needs a warranty claim.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

With Maruti Suzuki breaking its own record in July sales, reports a whooping 48.3 % increase in its UV segment @25781 units
( Ertiga/Brezza/Gypsy/S cross). Will S Cross breach the 3k barrier in July sales?

I am bit pessimistic that it would have sold more than 3K units. The numbers might have come from Breeza and Ertiga.

Utility segment (S-Cross/Ertiga/Brezza/Gypsy) sales for July is 25,781 units. Any guess on the break-up?

My guess:

S-Cross: 3K
Ertiga: 7K
Brezza: 15K
Gypsy: 750

As per my sources, Maruti has stopped production of even 1.3 S-Cross for now. There is ample inventory and demand is low. I guess Maruti has dumped the cars to Nexa dealers
