I don't think this is true. My car is not even 2 years old and I already have warranty till 4th year. Dealer had told me that I can upgrade to 5th year EW plan by paying around 13,500 Rs (S-Cross 1.6 Alpha)

Thanks. Must check with my dealer.

Another question: I purchased a preowned 1.6 alpha a few months ago and the dealer is taking too long to get me a nexa card (despite escalation) as he is confused because I will be the second owner. I find it a waste of time to followup for a nexa card and many a times want to just leave it as it is.
Is it really worth to have a nexa card?

According to me, it's not worth. You get maximum points only when you refer someone and they end up buying the car.

I have talked to my SA's senior and they are making an exception for my car as it was bought just a week before 5 year warranty plan was launched. I just have to pay the price difference. For older cars an additional 5th year warranty plan should be available as it is in your case.

I got call from dealer. They offered to change my insurance to universal from bajaj alliance. Final quote 17254, 3000 less than bajaj allianz quote. It is maruti insurance only.

S-Cross 1.3 : Switchable maps by Wolf Moto!

Wolf Moto tuner, Rajiv has cracked the ECU codes of S-Cross 1.3 and developed switchable maps. It's the same concept as Wolf switchable maps for Fiat cars. 6 of my friends had got their S-Cross 1.3 remapped from Wolf moto few months back and Wolf has been updating them with switchable maps now.

Features :

1. OBD flash counter is set to Zero.

2. 1 stock map and 4 different power maps

3. Switch the car to stock map during service. The remap cannot be detected at service centre as the OBD flash counter is Zero and all the parameters would be same like stock.

5 different modes :

1. Map 0 : Stock

2. Map 1 : This map has better low end compared to stock and ideal for bumper to bumper driving.

3. Map 2 : The performance is in between Map 1 and Map 3.

4. Map 3 : This is the well balanced map for both city and highway driving

5. Map 4 : This is the most powerful map and fun on highways.

It is very easy to switch the maps. The map indication is on temperature gauge. The needle position changes with different maps in ignition mode by pressing A pedal. After selecting the desired map, the engine has to be started. The ECU will have the memory of previously selected map and the car would start again in the same map. There is no need to switch every time.

Video : Switch Indication

I hope Rajiv cracks switchable maps even for S-Cross 1.6 . He has not given any promises for S-Cross 1.6 as it's very difficult to crack the tricore processor in EDC17 ECU.

That looks great. Ask him if same can be done for Brezza considering it has the same engine setup.

I don't think this is true. My friend took the 5th year warranty for his Brezza, last week, its just a year old vehicle.

I believe it's available for Brezza. Rajiv had told me that he was doing the codes for S-Cross and Brezza together .

There are many tuners in India who do "Remaps". But, Wolf Moto is the only firm who can provide switchable maps for 1.3 MJD as they have expertise to make changes in ECU codes.

EDIT : Wolf Moto FB page mentions that it's available for Brezza

I believe you have run more than 75K KM with Wolf remap on your Brezza. I still remember how the performance is, when I got to drive your car few months back .

Yes
Approx 75k kms run on Wolf map.

Drove the remapped brezza across India, covered all states except the north eastern ones

Stock brezza is boring to drive, especially when my previous car swift was with me for 7 years & both have the same 1.3L engine

Wolf mapped brezza was a hoot to drive on the Ladakh & Badrinath-Kedarnath roads

Wow. I wasn't aware. Can you please share the cost incurred? I see you are from Bangalore and it would have been easy for you to get it remapped. I wonder how can I get it done. 🤔
