Approximately 750 HP And 2000 NM In A Single Picture!

The meet happened last night at Tonico Cafe, Chalakduy, KL. All the five cars are Wolf Moto Tuned 1.6s.

Twinning Done Right, Almost!

My car (second from the left, in the group picture) has a SS De-cat Downpipe and a Re-routed Air Intake, by Blackworks, as well. Here's a short clip of the car upto 100, without launch. The 17" rims and 225 tyres slows the car, to an extent.

Cheers.

You tube can be played in the head unit. Even when the car is in motion. (Not advised at all).
The link is from Facebook S-Cross page.

Sweet. Top end looks really impressive, much better than stock 1.6 .

Oh yes, 225 tyres and 17 inch rims slows down the car. I am sure you would have been at least 1 second faster if you had launched the car. Wolfed S-Cross 1.6 with stock tyres does 0-100 in ~7 seconds (if you launch the car).

Indeed. I felt the other tuned 1.6s, with stock tyres, to be much faster. One of the two downsides of bigger wheels, the other being stiffer ride quality

Buying Used S-Cross 1.6?

Autocar has published an article about buying used S-Cross 1.6. Quoting few lines.

Quote:
Buyer beware …

Contact coil
While on a test drive, check if all the buttons and switches on the steering wheel are in working condition. If not, it could be the result of a faulty contact coil.

Fuel injectors
Sensitive to poor fuel, the 1.6-litre engine’s injectors are prone to clogging. If you experience a loss in power or a rough idle, the car in question is likely to need a new set of injectors. This will cost you Rs 16,800 each.
Fuel quality issue is very common in 1.6. I had mentioned about this multiple times in the forum. The engine is really too sensitive.

The car has deprecated a lot. It is available for 8-9 lakhs. One of my friend got his S-Cross 1.6 evaluated at Maruti true value and got quote of 5.75 lakhs. It was ridiculous.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Finally the car was brought to the dealership. Went for PDI, its fresh out of the oven, a la Feb 2018 manufacture.

Coming to GNA, they said it includes mudflap, floor mats, idol, door visor, car charger, cleaner kit, steering cover and perfume. I dont need all these, so just opting for the mudflap and floor mats.

I also asked for auto dimming IRVM, the accessories guy was so confused, he was saying but Zeta has camera in touchscreen Finally was able to explain it properly, he said the entire mount needs to be changed with the Alpha one and it will take 15-20 days.

Also they are pushing for seat covers, but with my prior experience, they impede rear armrest and ISOFIX functionality. Anyone has experience with the GNA leather seat covers (costs 28-30k approx, so can't just jump without a thought)? The stock fabric looks really basic, otherwise I wouldn't even consider it.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Congratulations ts1506!. Wow, all the buttons on the dashboard next to the headlight leveller is now full.

For auto dimming IRVM, the mount is not changed, it is on the stock mount and as simple as a threading screw. (I mean literally, it is just 1 screw that holds the mirror to the mount on the stock mount position on the windshield)

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

I am shocked to see that SCross is not listed on Maruti website in the complain section.

https://www.marutisuzuki.com/corpora...t-us/complaint

I wanted to write to them, my SCross has been updated by MASS to support Andriod auto. However, maruti isnt allowing me to download the map update. How is it that the VIN number is not listed if MASS could upgrade its software to latest one.

Nexa Escalation matrix is different. Maruti has separate Nexa TSM's.

Check this link to complain.

A scary experience, driving downhill in a snowstorm, absolutely no traction. Gave my car to BHPIAN Deeps who has experienced these conditions before. Scross managed to get down without any drama.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Our S-Cross is ready for delivery. Road Tax has been paid, Regn No alloted. I'm waiting for the Auto Dimming IRVM to arrive tomorrow.

Planning to take delivery tomorrow or day-after. Way too excited to be honest

On an unrelated note, how has the Team BHP stickers held up to dust/rain/car washes ? I just purchased my first pair of stickers today, and I saw a car today with a really beat up LTD sticker, so was wondering about it.

Firstly, congrats! Wishing you many happy years of mile munching.

I have had many Team-BHP stickers on my cars, they are quite robust. Just make sure that you stick it on a clean surface, and ensure no bubbles while putting the sticker.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Few S-Cross 1.6 owners have got their oil sump damaged. It is placed low and there is no protection. One S-Cross 1.6 owner encountered this few days and luckily he noticed the oil leak. It costs around 11k and would be replaced under insurance.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Took delivery of our Suzuki S-Cross 1.3 Zeta today. Delivery process was smooth, all documents were already arranged, and we were in and out within 30 mins.

The car was delivered with around 49km on the odo, and I managed to bump that number to 130km already

Accessories opted
1. Mud Flaps -> Pretty normal
2. Floor Mat -> Its a really good quality one, wraps around the edges of the floor and covers the entire carpet. Its also stuck using velcro on the driver side, so slippage is a non issue.
3. Leather Steering Wrap -> They botched up the fitment. The perforated portion is supposed to be at 3 and 9 o clock position, and they installed it somewhat at a 45 degree angle to that.
4. Auto Dimming IRVM -> Yet to arrive, will go back to get it installed after few days.

Initial Thoughts
1. The Turbo kick is addictive. Getting back to MJD after a while (we owned a Sail UVA and Ertiga with the same 1.3) feels great.
2. Headlights are kind of lame. Not really powerful, and the throw is quite muted. The fogs do a good job though.
3. The driving dynamics and ride quality are ahead of its competition.

Grouches
1. Went to a mall after delivery, and security guy could not close the boot. I came out and tried, and the boot just wouldnt shut. Out of intuition, I pressed the electromagnetic switch 3-4 times, and tried again, and it worked. The lever type thing had gotten stuck somehow.

Will this be a problem for the Scross 1.3 facelift too?
