Hose assembly - I assume this is the windshield wiper hose, is there a problem with this?

BTW, which Nexa is this?
I personally went to the showroom and asked them to show the damaged parts and how did they assess the damage. I could see no visible damage and took photos.

The service person did not accept that there is no damage. I asked them they could remove one side and show the damage on rear spring and spring/rubber bump stopper. If there is no damage they can charge me labor cost but I will escalate to Maruti about this incident. Then he started the usual threats " Sir, the parts are damaged and there will be suspension noise. We will not take responsibility if you complain about the suspension noise." The best part was, they didn't even drive the car before concluding that there is suspension noise.

For brakes pads, I checked the thickness and it almost 2-3 mm and hence replaced them.

This is the NEXA service center at Keelkatalai. They did a decent job during my 10k/20k service and but seems to have started fleecing.

After this incident, I am not planning to go back to this place and definitely not work the extra premium charges.

My experience with Nexa in general and this outlet in particular has been very forgettable. Did you go ahead with a new set of elanzos? At 30k they should be having plenty of tread left. I also see you are replacing parking sensors. This should be covered by extended warranty unless these were damaged due to external impact. I got mine replaced FOC under EW. Even if you have got them replaced at cost, write to Nexa asking why these were not covered.

Can someone who has replaced their 1.6 car battery can help me with model # of Amaron or any other good brand?
Thanks
My 320 is the same year and since it was cranking a bit slow and with out of town travel, I changed it last week. Was recommended Amaron by a friend who is a battery dealer for several decades. He said the CCA (cold cranking amps) were better.
I got the Amaron Flo DIN 65 which worked out to 6100 with a swap of my old Panasonic. The dealer told me about a 3+2 year guarantee and I forgot the details already!

Sure enough, on my drive to Coorg from Chennai, I could tell a difference. Starting the car early morning in cold weather was instant.

1. The NEXA estimated labour as 2885 Rs whereas the SA is quoting 4200 Rs .
2. During the inspection. the SA had asked for a replacement of several suspension parts. Some of the items were suspension bushes, rear coil spring , suspension mount seat etc. The full list is attached below

Attachment 1946068

When i asked whether these are covered under "EW" , he mentioned that only strut assembly and rear shock absorber are covered and other parts such as stabilizer bar etc are not covered . I am not too convinced of their statement and have asked them to send me pictures to give my approval.

In the forum discussions, i don't remember anyone doing these changes under 25k and any feedback would be appreciated ?

I have already written to Maruti and does expect them to respond immediately.
I am planning to do only the regular service today and based on feedback , get the vehicle back , if needed
The ride of my S Cross 1.6 has become a bit trashy of late and I think it would help with a change of bushes and a good inspection of the front struts. I have put in about 50,000 kms now in Chennai where some potholes are like craters! From my experience with the Maruti stable right from the eighties, this seems to be perennially a weak link (Pun intended ).

Does anyone have suggestions on getting some good quality aftermarket polyurethane bushes and possibly better struts?

BTW, I run P3ST and they are good to go for another 10K atleast. Im happy with them. Will need recommendations on the tyre choice too from fellow 1.6 owners. Im running 205s and will be going for 215s. Hopefully the taller sidewall will give a more comfortable ride.

Thanks in adv for any suggestions on the suspension front.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

I took delivery of a Pre worshiped S Cross Alpha 1.6 yesterday

This is a 2017 January registered 1.6 litre beast which has run only 32000 kilometres. Previously owned by Manager of Popular Maruti ( largest Maruti Suzuki dealer in Kerala)

One year company warranty remaining. All services records available and vehicle is in mint condition

I was looking for a used S Cross 1.6 for a couple of months and finally came across this beautiful car. A lot of functional and cosmetic modes done on this.

Impression after driving the beauty for last 2 days: turbo kick is addictive

Ownership review is coming up soon:

Rear suspension beam has known issues. Please do alignment in a reputed independent specialist tyre shop, and check back with A.S.S. See this for details:

I also know that some 1.6 owners have swapped out the factory fitted struts for aftermarket ones from KYB and are very happy with the ride-handling balance after the swap.

Congratulations!!!. Owning a 1.6 is really wonderful especially as the availability is minimal.

Seems a roof carrier is installed on the car. Not sure, my opinion is that the roof rail does not go exactly in sync with the S-Cross car profile.

I was planning a tire change to Michelin around January.

Regarding rear parking sensors, one sensor stopped working about 6 months back and they were not covered in EW as per the service center. I wrote to NEXA and got the same response. I didn't push them as I primarily use the cam video and having a faulty sensor hasn't bothered me. I will probably replace the sensors at a car accessory shop.

The SA also mentioned that he's never come across anyone asking for rear side slip test.
Nexa Porur have written to me confirming that their lane tester is faulty. They asked me to either wait till it is fixed (which should take a week as per the quality manager) or Nexa Porur will take my car to one of the neighbouring Nexa service centers to have it tested(probably Kilkattalai). I have told them I will wait for a week.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

My car has covered 30000km and it's due for service.
I usually take the car to Pratham, Sajapur road and I am not happy with them. Please recommend a Nexa service centre that you are satisfied with.

You can try Bimal Mahadevpura. Near the Phoenix Market City. I'm getting the service done here for the last 7 years (4 Years of current S-Cross). It was good for me till date and my SA is Hemaprasad. If you need contact, please PM.

Rear axle was replaced again and the car was sent to Madhus for alignment report and this time it seems okay
Also I tried to find the specifications in the manual but no luck as one of the SAs told me that the specifications are different for 1.6 and 1.3(Not sure how true).

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Finally, got my membership approved.
I have a S-cross 1.6 Alpha which completed 1 lakh km last month. It was purchased on Nov 2015, and needless to say, even now it brings a smile every time you take it to the open roads.
Stock battery was replaced with Amaron at around 2.6 years.
Stock JK tyres were replaced with Yokohama Earth series at around 65k kms.
The only major issue it has faced so far was when the clutch gave up at around 85K km's.
Even though i have tried several service centres(Kalyani Bannerghatta Road, Indus Motors Kochi, Suraksha Nexa Electronic city) over the years, the last few services were done at Mandovi motors, JP Nagar and reasonably happy with them.
So that's my S-cross story so far!

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Hello to all,
I've come across a pre-owned 2016 reg S-cross 1.6L Delta. 65k kms, 1st owner and overall maintained in good condition.
Tires are at the end of their life, have to be replaced in another 3k kms max.
Asking 7 lakhs. Please advise on what should be a good price for it.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Maruti S-Cross : Official Review

Hi Everbody, this is my first thread here at S-CROSS community. However being regular reading all the discussions at this forum. Would like to draw attention on a peculiar issue with my 1.3 zeta S-cross (2015 model). After crossing 53K, i have noticed keyless entry issue. It happens so often and yet not regular. When I pressed the key button in odrer to open the door, it makes "double" sound i.e. regular sound while we press the button to open the door TWICE. And once I press the start button, that hazard beep sound will start repeating for around 20-30 seconds and everything goes normal on the diaplay panel.

Definetely try to make video of what I am experienecing as it is bit difficlut to put in the words. Howeever, would like to know more by feelow Bhpian's who might know about this issue.

Otheriwse,

Otheriwse,
i had faced the above issue of "double" sound and it was due to the bonnet not being closed properly. But i didnt have the other issue.
