What's going wrong with Ford. Saw an online sales report for Jan. Both the Figo and Aspire at ~1700 units. That's a terrible number for a very competent car.

I would not say Ford, but these can be the potential causes -

1) Indian Mentality of Re-sale value.
2) Somewhere people are stillin the Escort Era of expensive A$$.
3) Jacking up of the prices (though not much), with Trend above 6L ES, in NCR the RTO just go up, they basically wanted buyers to go for Titanium instead of Trend.
4) No current offers.
5) Baleno launch at a very aggressive pricing just after the Figo was launched.

Let the Brezza be launched at the attractive price and we should be looking at abysmal numbers for EcoSport.

2L Diesel Ban in NCR is not helping the Endeavour.

I at no point, see the new Figo touching the Old Figo numbers and with the Ameo launch, the Aspire numbers might go down further.

To add to your points, I think Ford's Marketing and Sales wings have affected the Ford twins terribly. It looks like a classic case of good product loosing out due to bad promotions. And Ford's dealers need to take a good part of the blame as well(I bought my Figo from one dealer and am going for servicing at another, both of them haven't been impressive enough so far!!). The dealer who sold the vehicle left a very bad 'first impression' on me which is sort of preventing me from giving a positive 'word of mouth' publicity about the 'Ford experience' however good the Ford Figo is

Congratulations!! One thing I can say is that the experience with the Ford Figo will more likely be positive (having satisfactorily driven my Figo TDCI MT for 10,000km so far in just over 3 months). Do keep us all updated about your experience going forward. Wish you happy miles ahead!!

Re: Ford Figo : Official Review

Hi All, I recently installed front Fog lamps from Ford Dealer since Ford Trend model doesn't have it pre-installed but with just provision for front fog lamps; However I cant see any indicator on display panel for front fog lamp and it becomes difficult to make out weather those are ON or OFF at times.
I can see indicator for rear fog lamps though. Please let me know if this is expected behavior? Or I need to get it checked again.

Secondly both rear doors of my car make lot of noise while closing it. Has anyone experienced similar issues?. I think this has to do with light weight doors or something else?

I do not think the stock lamps are dull. They are in fact proper bright as I have done approx 700kms in night and I see 'respect' from the opposite traffic asking me to dim. The tool to adjust the level of light throw is mighty useful.

I would not suggest to change the lamp as you might actually blind the opposite traffic and to a certain extent is not right.

I have no plans to upgrade as its used by wifee 90% of the month. She reaches home just before dark, so head lights are used very rarely. Fiesta HL upgrade was mainly for my outstation drives with friends and it had helped us in a big way.

We crossed 10 days with the new Figo, so far nothing to complain. My Lady managed to get a tiny dent and a scratch mark on the front left bumper and wheel arch. Thanks to the morons who never keep their lane in the city. And we are known for creating 6 lanes on a 3 lane road !

The best angles I fell in love with the new Figo are these. Alloys are planned after a month !

The Breeza launch will have a big impact on Ecosport and could fall below the 2k mark. Ford could steal some thunder from the Ameo by launching a diesel automatic variant. The 1.5 TDCi with a DCT can potentially be a potent package. Diesel automatic on both Figo and Aspire could resurrect the sales for Ford. Not sure what is stopping them!!!

The doors on my Figo make louder noise as well while closing. I guess this is expected for the new Figo as, like you said, Ford has made the doors lighter than their expected standards. However, I would recommend you to contact the dealer if the sound is unusually loud. And, are you also getting rattling sounds from the doors while the car goes over any bumps? My car's driver side door has this issue. The dealer has attended to it once but the sound returned soon after that. I am going to get it checked again tomorrow during the second free service.

Sad but true. My car has visited the workshop thrice to get the creaking issues sorted. Started with the hatch, then the left doors and then the right ones. I guess it's not only the light doors, but maybe an issue with the hinges. Or else why would they need to be aligned all the time?
