Stock display in a Delta is just a two line matrix LCD, are you expecting rear camera feed to be shown there? It is not possible.

There are non touch screen head units which has support for rear camera.

Fitting a camera should not be a big deal. But getting the display in delta/zeta variant ICE is impossible. It will need a external display since delta/zeta does not have a video display.

I guess we need to find a way to get rear view display on our phones using Bluetooth/Wifi so that we can avoid separate display.

What is the next set of procedure guys ?
I will be taking car loan. So I need to make the payment right now (amount that is not covered under loan) without even seeing the car ?

When should I ask for the VIN number. Once the car reaches the dealership ?

Please advise.

Your RM will only know last 6 digits of VIN which are useless.
You will get to know your complete VIN only when you see the car personally when it reaches dealership/stockyard near dealership.

Why not get an IRVM that can display rear camera output?

https://m.aliexpress.com/s/item/3232...ddresstype=600

OEM camera can be connected to this I presume.

Edit

This below link, the IRVM has both rear camera input features plus auto dimming when required. This is a better choice.

I have opted for security system, mud flaps and chrome window strips. There is absolutely no discount whatsoever on the audio system. They blatantly said only if I purchase accessories for 1lac or more they can offer a discount of 5k.

I am planning to get the audio system installed outside or get it installed at another nexa dealer.

The terms mentioned in the allotment letter are just for records.

Based on my recent experience with Nexa I suggest the following:

1. Are you sure you will get your required loan amount sanctioned? If yes, please proceed and apply for loan first and get the approval letter from bank.

2. Ask for VIN number and insist on a PDI. Let them know that you will provide instructions to bank to release the payment only after you receive the VIN number and after completing the PDI (the dealer will have the entire 17-digit VIN number with him. I received mine and it was the same during PDI too. Insist!)

3. By this time you will receive the VIN and the car must have been received at the yard. Go and do the PDI. On the same day, discuss and finalize the accessories needed and sum up the total payment you need to make (i.e) down payment + cost of accessories.

4. Instruct loan agent to release payment to dealer. (Take a photocopy of all documents you have signed for loan. It may help you in future). Once dealer receives payment you can pay the balance down payment amount only and proceed to registration or pay the entire amount including accessories.

5. On the date of delivery, you can check the accessories and pay the balance amount for accessories.

It may look complicated but please follow these and you shall have a satisfactory purchase of 'your own car' from a dealer who is almost ready to kill you for all the silly procedures you have been following .

Is the auto dimming IRVM from the Zeta and Alpha available as an MGA? I would be interested in having it fixed in my Dzire.

Search for Boodmo in play store.

Use this App mainly for part numbers of spares. Prices are haphazard.

My bad. I did not realize this.

I did not want to lose the auto-dimming feature of the stock IRVM, so was looking at the dashboard unit (~8,500). I went to the Nexa showroom, as they had one installed on a test car - it looked quite ugly and bulky in my opinion. So, now I am indeed considering whether I should go for the IRVM option (~12,000). They also showed me the Sony (~33,000) /Kenwood (~27,000) units. They were heavily recommending Sony, and said that the stock unit that would be replaced would not fetch anything

So, the choices are:
  • Delta variant + Dashboard display for rear-cam: ruled out due to ugly looking display
  • Delta variant + IRVM: I will consider this if the replacement mirror has auto-dimming feature - something like the above suggested by a4anurag. Does anyone know if the one offered by Nexa has this feature?
  • Delta variant + Sony Unit
  • Alpha variant: Will get the guidelines as well, but are they really worth paying 1.5L extra, if I don't want any other feature??

The Baleno Delta does not come with auto-dimming IRVM.

Ouch - reading about this topic too many times has confused me thoroughly.

I meant the Zeta version, not the Delta.

As an update, I finally decided to go with the Alpha variant.

Re: Maruti Baleno : Official Review

Disturbing case of the Baleno service that turned out to be just a wash.... or should I say Eye-wash!

Re: Maruti Baleno : Official Review

Took delivery of my Baleno CVT Fire Red on 14th Oct.17. Delivery experience was smooth, Car was ready on the requested time.

Initial Impression: Couldn't find much difference from Swift other than loads of space. Ride quality in the front is as good as swift. I yet to sit on the rear seat so no idea on the comfort. I will reserve my commends till I drive another 100+ Kms. Will try uploading much better photos.
