re: Tata Tiago : Official Review

The three shortlisted names for the Zica have been revealed:

Source: Tata Zica

Tata Tiago : Official Review-12744629_1305800979446832_2008047318306644121_n.jpg

Tata Tiago : Official Review-12705352_1305801006113496_2928144844881948537_n.jpg

Tata Tiago : Official Review-12717408_1305801059446824_7458857294262553102_n.jpg

Somehow, personally I now feel "Zica" sounded much better !

I kinda like Civet. Gives a vibe like Civic/City.

re: Tata Tiago : Official Review

Civet is very close to City/Civic. Tiago would be great for an offroader, not this. Of the three, I'd go with Adore, but with a heavy heart as its too girly.

re: Tata Tiago : Official Review

I didn't like any of the choices and IMHO a four letter name would have sounded more appropriate on a small car. For e.g. Kite or my proposal Anon.

But as we have no choice I voted for Tiago solely due to the fact that it starts with letter T.

I don't know what to say about Adore, whoever selected it must be in a wrong profession. Worst still if Adore wins the poll.

Lets wait for the results.

I agree that Adore is the worst of the lot. In fact i would have appreciated a few more names. Its not too late. I hope TATA is listening.

re: Tata Tiago : Official Review

Civet according to me, may sound very funny in Malayalam. Just because of the animal CIVET.
In Malayalam civet is called "Mara-Patty" - Mara (For Maram) which means Tree and Patty - Of course DOG. On top of it a very common abuse word in Malayalam of course on a lighter tone.

Refer : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civet

In my opinion KITE would be a safer option as it would not be confusing for people who have already been hearing Tata Kite, Kite 5 etc during testing.

re: Tata Tiago : Official Review

Seeing "Civet", the car in these pics on this page is actually looking like a grinning furry animal !

Kite may have been best.
Tiago is fine
May be Zica itself ?

Adore ?? What are they thinking ? Did some from Hero join the team ?

Tiago is a go from me!

Adore sounds to me like Hodor. Don't like it.

I voted for Tiago. Tata Tiago sounds good to say. Adore is too childish IMO and Civet seems an attempt to cash on Civic/Ciaz or similar sounding names.

Tata Tiago sounds better among the 3. But sounds like a name for a SUV as opposed to a small Hatchback
Same thoughts here. Tiago would be better off for a SUV. Why can't they go back to Kite, which IMO sounds good or they reserving it for the Compact Sedan to be launched?

Tiago sounds much better. Adore is kiddish. I would have named it if Tata had gone for a two wheeler. Civet rhymes with Rivet (very well screwed), is Tata re -assuring everyone that it is a well screwed car. Let's get Tiago to have more votes.

Best of the 3, but not THE best by any means. Anyways, Congrats Tata for the new name, now let's start rebranding aggressively and make sure it hits the market ASAP.

BTW, the twitter handle still reads "ZicaTataMotors".
