1) yes, they do.

2) No, they will not. They are not covering any of the airbag sensor location. (I am thinking so, please correct me if I am wrong)

Re: Ford Endeavour : Official Review

3.2 4X4 AT Titanium Smoke Grey March 2017 on the way.

I have been trying to sell my Fortuner since January this year. Finally sold it off yesterday.
I had booked Endeavour last week after deal was finalised.
Chose Endeavour against Fortuner purely for experience of a different car as well as company.
As such I was open to both the cars. Price points were also similar.

Decided on trim based on availability and discount.
Car landed in Delhi today and hoping to get delivery late evening.

So they have started discounting 2017 models already? Can you share Ex-Showroom prices and ballpark discounts that you managed for benefits of others.

Ex-showroom price for Delhi NCR is 30.9 Lakhs.
Cash Discount is 1 lakhs or less depending on color and its availability with dealer. White is easily available.
It seems Ford is only dispatching 3.2 Ti and hence a bit of surplus in Delhi but they are still selling like hot cakes. Dealer do not have much in hand but they are getting good supply from Ford.

More than half of cash discount is actually an eyewash. The Zero Dep Insurance cost is inflated and dealer is waiving 50% of Insurance cost. In actual the insurance cover note would be for actual paid. Dealers have negotiated with Insurance company and they are passing on the benefit.

Ok, so Discounts are on-road prices, to be fair their product is far better value for money over competitors. They just need to be consistent on pricing.

Congratulations on your new purchase. Do change Tyres to a size bigger and from a good brand.

Just have a few questions:

1) Did you get the cash discount directly on ex-showroom or on the on-road price ? (leveraging on insurance or availability of white)

2) Did they charge you for Essential kit or gave it for free ?

Thanks for your help !

Please see my earlier post.
Please note that tax invoice do not change. It will show 30.9 as ex-showroom price. The discount is adjust by their internal credit notes. Yes the Insurance discount my be directly shown by charging actual amount. I am yet to see the cover note. I hope they charge actual amount so that next year I am better placed during renewal.

Essential kit is free (in my as well as most of the case) but worthless.
No, they did not agree to convert it to cash.

I got it from Indian De'cars Hyderabad, Banjara Hills. Just checked with them and they have stocks available for Endeavour. You can check it out.

I got little over 1L discount in Hyderabad and good ~35K was on the insurance. I didn't check the breakup for the rest of discount but the ex-showroom price was not changed.

BTW, the sales guy claimed that with this type of discount their margin was reduced to just 9K. I highly doubt this claim.

The difference between in-stock vs fresh order for colour choice was just 5K, that is 5K more for the non-stock colour with wait period of just 10 days.

No, he may be right. They would have earned little but most of their margins come from holdbacks that Manufacturers pass when they do certain numbers. They will normally get this additional money at end of Quarter or Year as per agreement.

It won't matter, next Year premium will be calculated based on the residual value ( IDV) at that time which is typically 20 % less than your current.

Ah! I was not aware of this. When I saw the papers I thought the sales person is just bluffing. Now may be that's the reason only of the dealer in Hyderabad was able to offer this discount and other two didn't even come anywhere near this price. Thanks a lot for clarifying.
