Very True.
I disowned Garmin and started using only Google Maps and thus Andriod Auto is the best thing a car can get. Apart from live traffic, one also have the benefit of latest map without worrying about map upgrade.

Yes the inbuilt Navigation System may have link to instrument cluster display for inline view by driver, as we have in New Fortuner.
Can anyone confirm, if the Ford navigation system to linked to instrument cluster display ?

Re: Ford Endeavour : Official Review

Friends.
I'm given a quote for a Titanium 2.2 of around 29,4200 excluding life time tax which I'll take care. Is it a good deal? Catch is that it's 2016 Model n make. Only ridden 34 Kms. Brand new. Price includes 3rd year warranty and number to bumper insurance as well. Pls let me know. Thanks.

Here TCS should be 28,957 right, 1% of ex showroom price?

29.4 lakhs ex showroom sounds steep.
Bhpian Anumod got an on road deal for 27 lakhs for the 2.2 trend.
It was a 2016 bronze colour.

Incase you decide to buy ,check the car thoroughly for accidents before paying.

Hi, Thanks. I got this quote from the Ford dealer as brand new vehicle. It is a new car (just 34 kms in odo).

The dealership is in 3rd/4th tier city and left over inventory from 2016 and they are still trying to sell for almost 2 months now! I have not seen the car in flesh still. But the decision will be only after thorough check on various factors. It is a White 2.2 Titanium 4x2 Auto.

The sales person was saying 3.2 Titanium sells like hot cakes and in this budget people do not mind few lakhs extra. He sounds genuine but you never know! Not many are interested in 2.2 or 3.2 Trend. Only Titanium top end is in high demand.

Also, nothing left other than this one piece which is a kind of slight worry. I called another dealer in the metro and according to him 34 lakhs OTR for the new 2.2 Titanium and 3.2 goes beyond 36 lakhs. Thats why I thought it is a good deal considering the new prices and it is Titanium with all the bells & whistles.

The other news I got from him which we should take it with a pinch of salt is that Trend variants 'might' (he is not sure as well!) be discontinued! Only Titanium in future. May be he says this because I was keen to have 2.2 Trend AT. But Ford told them to take only Titanium bookings which can be delivered in 4 weeks or so.

At the end, what I feel is Ford is not giving any confidence as a manufacturer! No clear strategy on the product life cycle. Look at Toyota, very clean and solid in terms the image. Premium of 3-4 lakhs still not unconvincing! You get extra air bag, start/stop button, key less entry, Toyota badge, long term reliability, service back up and resale value. 4 lakhs still good enough to justify this. I feel Ford has excellent "Product" team but pathetic "production & marketing team". They are letting excellent products like Fiesta, Figo and Endeavour fail due to their marketing or production strategy. Feel bad really.

Feel bad for your experience but Ford has come a long way improving itself since the Escort times.
The price you have quoted for a 2.2 Titanium is too steep

One thing we can vouch for is that the 3.2 titanium will never get discontinued as it is the hottest selling one.

If you can spare the extra money look for a 3.2 Titanium from unsold inventory.(I got and an offer for 34.5 lakhs OTR for a 3.2 Titanium white August 2016 and trust me I was super tempted)

Regarding confidence as a manufacturer Ford has given me a 5 year Warranty on my Ecosport but refused it for the Endeavour
I really dont know what they were thinking.
So in that sense Toyota inspires much more confidence and for them ,customer is the king.

And I agree with you ,the Endeavour is more value for money than the Fortuner

Just to clarify, the price quoted is 29.4, which include TCS, insurance, 3rd year warranty. Only registration need to be done that as I mentioned I will take care.

Since, this will be registered in the Union Territory, registration should be around a lakh or so. This brings the total cost to 30.4 lakhs for a 2.2 Titanium.

Still it does not look like a deal or steal, I believe. What the existing owners think? Thanks.

Re: Ford Endeavour : Official Review

Took the Endy for first free service (2700 kms now), though oil change was not in the list of things, went ahead with it. Oil, filter and drain plug came to 3713.46 INR. Engine definitely seemed more silent and purring after the fluid change, shell semi synth is what SA told they use.

No other problems were reported and even the software seems to be the latest one and did not need an update.

1. Check and see if it has Sync3. When I went to purchase, my dealer too offered a great deal on a 2016 Titanium. But it was Sync2. Lot of users are feeling let down with the Sync2. This thread and net has sufficient feedbacks. I strongly recommend any new buyer to got for Sync3. This is possibly the only reason dealers still have 2016 models in inventory.

2. There is a strong possibility that Ford is encouraging 3.2 Titanium to the hilt. There is a long delay with 2.2 Titanium. My dealer also mentioned something similar to what your's did. I hear that Ford is working on upgrading all models to Sync3. The Trend model delay could be due to this.

3. A 2.2 Titanium with Sync3 is great value for money. Would strongly recommend this over Fortuner, as a family vehicle. There is great power delivery even in city traffic drives.

4. Ford is showing great improvements in customer relationship. Ford reliability is as good as any in the market today. But miles to go before they reach anywhere near Toyota in customer perception. I think Toyota is simply taking the customer for a ride with their massive premiums. If you plan to own a premium luxury vehicle for 5+ years why compromise on the ride quality. Why abuse your body. I feel Fortuner ride is like a lorry.

5. What I hear from my dealer as well is that Ford is close to releasing a 5 year warranty even for existing Endeavour customers. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

I have used my 3.2 Titanium in TN and Kerala heat. I did not feel it is inadequate. But this AC impact is highly dependent on person. What I feel is cold, is not for my kids. But they have never complained in Endeavour. If you are a VIP () then try putting 3M CR70 sun films. Significant improvement for Rs 30k. If you can afford to spend more money, then try LX70 Sunfilm from SolarGard for RS 45k with much higher Total Heat Rejection value (TSER). Both are almost transparent.

Thanks. I already have 3M sunfilm. I think I better get the AC checked since its just below comfortable level for all the occupants.

If I compare the cooling at the same temperature with my Altis then clearly it is not as effective. My setting is 25 degrees in Altis but 23 during day and 24 during night in Endy.

But I don't compare and set a comfortable temperature then I don't have any problem. I attribute this to large glass area compared to Altis. I also have 3M CR70.

Try switching on rear AC using the touch panel and see if it makes a difference. If the outside is closer to 40 degrees, front AC alone may not be good enough for the large volume. Ignore if you have tried that already. I keep 21 or 22 degrees in mine and find it pretty effective without the rear AC as I am the sole occupant most of the times.

Which Service Center did you visit? Good you changed the oil early. I changed at 5k and felt the difference too.

Went to old faithful Metro ford St Marks road.

Regarding AC while returning from service at noon, 24 was comfortable on Auto mode and internal circulation mode on. So for Bangalore weather I feel its more than effective. Rear was also On and don't have any sun film FYI. I felt in manual mode the cooling was not so consistent.
