Are you sure? My petrol Fiesta does have a recommendation for System G additive, and I remember seeing one for System D on the Figo's 1.4 manual. I have added a full bottle of System D to my Figo over the first year of ownership.

Assuming yours is a 3.2, that is really amazing and a record which may not be easily broken. I have never seen my mileage go above 13. The only time it goes to about 25 kmpl is when I am going downhill. Still, I shall now endeavour to beat your Endeavour. :). If I don't post it here, you can be rest assured I am still struggling.

Your comment regarding Lord Ayyappa using a horse was hilarious. I totally avoid that route these days, not because of the road, but because of the traffic jam. Palakkad-Shoranur-Wadakkanchery-Thrissur route is a better choice especially if you are traveling late night. Very sparse traffic late in the night. Slightly longer route, but I prefer driving 15~20 minutes more rather than inching in traffic for 45 mins.

Oh well, I guess there is something for all of us here. I bet I could do this one of these days. Have come close to it, but lucked out. I think I will follow user roby_dk's suggestion to have a spare key made just for my wallet. Thanks for sharing.
Well, I have learnt the same lesson twice. First time it cost me a flight ticket and the second time my family and I had to survive on borrowed clothes and stuff for 2 days until the spare key arrived. :Frustrati

I don't like sitting with my wallet in the back pocket. So I always leave it either in the storage box below the arm rest or in the door pad. Having a spare key in it may not be the ideal solution for me, but will cut down the risk to a large extent.

As user nareshtrao suggested, I have disabled the boot lid button entirely and now I think it is impossible, even by my standards, to lock the key in the boot. Suggest you do the same. The engineers at Ford must have locked the keys inside several times during their testing stage and so wisely decided to add this feature. Bless them!

80,000 kms UPDATE

Our endeavour has done 80,XXX kilometres last week, so have sent it for the service. Once the car reached service center and after initial inspection, I was advised by SA to change both front and rear brake pads as they have just 2-3k kms service left. So I agreed to get them changed along with the brake fluid which is a part of 80k kms service.

General service which included engine oil change, brake fluid change, air filter, fuel filter and AC filter change along with both front and rear brake pads along with wheel alignment and balancing costed Rs 25,255/- in total.
This service the most expensive one till date and large chunk i.e approximately RS 15,000/- is for becasue of brake pads.

Also had 2 incidents in the last couple of weeks. However, I was not with the vehicle when this happened

1. One fine day, as usual my father reached his work place in endeavour and had to return within 30 mins later. But surprisingly the vehicle simple refused to start. Apparently there is no crank too. I have faced this issue almost an year back for which endeavour has spent considerable time at workshop and sensor was replaced. However, at that time the car used to start after sometime. But this time endeavour didn't start at all even when tried after an hour. Later with jumper cables and with help of other car, the car started. I sent it to service centre the same day and according to them, the battery is in good health and there are no errors. They suggested the battery has simply discharged might be because of leaving car in ignition..etc. I sincerely hope that's the case.

2. Again when the car was with chauffer, he complained that the car has jerked for around 5 minutes whenever he accelerated. This didn't recur after nor there were any error codes when checked at the time of service.

I sincerely hope it's not related to http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/techni...ion-issue.html please:

Other than that, endeavour is now an absolute delight to drive especially with the new michelins. The ride is much much better. I would now suggest them to anyone who is not into off-roading and looking for a comfortable set of highway tyres.

My Fiesta was 2nd generation and in the manual the recommendation for SystemD wasn't there, but in the Fusion the recommendation was there for SystemG and I used to put as well. With SystemG addition I used to get a better mileage as well (5-10% )

Harsha, I would like to know about any other expenses so far in these 80k kms apart from the brake pads and new set of tires. The reason why I am interested in same is from my previous ownership of Safari at this mileage there were more parts replaced. Clutch overhaul and suspension overhaul was done around 65k and 75k respectively. How is the suspension doing any signs of replacement there.

Not sure if this statement is correct as I heard it from one of my friend who owned Safari storme before owing Fortuner. As per him the suspension of Fortuner lasts quite longer than Safari(read: around 1.5 to 2 L kms). If that is true shall we hope the Endeavour to be on the same ground.

Hi,
In the last 80k kms, rear brake pads were changed twice and front brake pads once along with tyres.

Apart from this CMP sensor was changed (my endeavour stalled multiple times because of this) at around 30k kms on the odo. Rear axle was also replaced because of noise, now I am sure that noise was because of loose metal sticker/chain as reported by others. Both of these were replaced under warranty. I had to change couple of wheel nuts because they lost the thread, this again is reported by other endeavour owners too. And the much famed headlight leveller has been changed under warranty even though mine does not have any issues.

Shock absorbers look good as of now. No complaints as such. Our innovas shock absorbers used to last for 1.2-1.3 Lakh kilometers on average. I am hoping it shall be same with endeavour. I am planning to keep endeavour as long as possible, hoping it will last without giving me headache for at least 2 lakh kilometers.

I'm probably missing the obvious :Frustrati but where are the 10 speakers located? I can spot only 7. Take a look at the attached image.

Simple.
8 in the doors (1 tweeter + speaker each). Tweeters kiss the A-pillars as mounted on the front doors, and are adjacent the door handles for the rear doors (which you have marked as 2 centre speakers). Speakers are mounted at the bottom for all doors (ahead of the door pockets).
1 at the centre of the dashboard.
And a subwoofer in the boot.
4 + 4 + 1 + 1 = 10

The ones you missed seem to be the dash mounted speaker, and the rear door bottom speakers.

Edit - Very rough edit to the pic, but I think it suffices.

Your Endy is the grand daddy here. 80,000 kms and driven by a chauffeur is a pretty good test. Please continue to post updates here. I am sure many here look forward to your updates.
My warranty ends in another 5k kms or by Mar 2019. I am not convinced if I need to buy extended warranty. Price quoted I believe was 34k for additional year. Although you replaced the Camshaft position sensor under warranty, at no cost to you, do you remember how much was the actual sensor cost.

I am being quoted 20k for 1 year of extended warranty, in my purchase quotation (above the standard 2 years).
However, kilometres remain at 100k unlike Toyota's extended warranty option (which goes up to 1.4k and subsequently 1.7k for 7 years' total warranty).
So if you have only 5k left to 100k, I don't see the point of taking extended warranty at all.

Unless I'm behind times, and Ford has started to offer extended kilometres when opting for extended years.

My mistake. My warranty ends by 30k kms or 2 years. That is Mar 2019. I have 5k kms to go.

Why you didn't took the 3rd year warranty, as far as I remember my Service Advisor pushed me to take the additional 3rd year warranty at the time of purchasing itself. Later 4th and 5th year warranty were rolled out by Ford that can anyways be opted before 3rd year warranty expires.

I'm facing two minor problems with my Endy. The ambient light stays red, indicating that the door is not properly closed but there is no warning in the instrument console. Looks like faulty ambient light status.

The second problem is that when the audio volume reduces during the front sensors beep sometimes it doesn't come back to normal level.

Since both the problems are intermittent I was not able to reproduce them in the service centre.

Anyone else facing similar issues?

BTW, the service centre performed software upgrade and now the gear shifts are really good. I have a level two parking and driving up and down used to require lots of revving and the load engine noise was quite unbearable in the underground parking. Now the car just glides through. It's feels like I got brand new shoes with springs.

This is a situation where door is not fully closed let's say 90% closed that is the reason it is not displayed on console. I have checked this thoroughly if you try to open the door from outside it will not open but the red light will be glowing until you close it properly.

No solution to this problem it happens sometime and is quite irritating to turn up the volume again. This will not happen if we turn off the front sensors but the setting will turn on again once the engine is restarted.

Hi guys I have been following this forum for the last 3 years almost and thank all of you for the immense accurate and trustworthy insights in to the new Endy. I just boarded the Team BHP bus yesterday and immediately came back to this thread. I have the 3.2 AT Titanium, sunset red in color. It was the second car in Himachal when i bought it in May 2016. The first one was bought by the CM, it was informed. It has been a pleasure since. Anyways i will write my ownership review soon (@55k ) but i thought i would share the mileage pics. So here goes.
This is the best i have seen and the speed was between 85-90kmph. This was on NH 1 from Delhi to Ambala on my way to Palampur.
Ford Endeavour : Official Review-hellboy-mileage.jpg

This one is the best mileage i have got in driving from Delhi to Palampur. The last 125kms the hills start and the incline is from 369 mts to 1472 mts.
Ford Endeavour : Official Review-delhi-palampur-best-mileage.jpg

This one is the best mileage from Delhi to Hamirpur, a shorter route but the last 80 kms from Una are full of sharp turns and the climb is from 369 mts to
738mts.
Ford Endeavour : Official Review-delhi-hamirpur-best-mileage.jpg

Finally, one time i had to really rush from Delhi to Hamirpur and this is what i got.
Ford Endeavour : Official Review-delhi-hamirpur-fastest-time.jpg

Please note that i start from Delhi early morning at 2-3 am when i encounter the least traffic on the roads getting out of Delhi and also on the highways. Toll booths are almost always a drive through at that time. Tyre pressure is kept at 34psi from Delhi and i drive alone with full tank and about 30kg luggage.
