They told us that they will get one by today ( 20th December ) from the factory. So, we just went ahead and booked it.
Great!

Quick question. Which insurance are you opting for? Bumper-to-Bumper or the other option (i.e. full invoice value)?

Among some accessories I will be installing, the dealer has suggested Teflon coating. I will be opting for this.
Congratulations on your booking. I am sure that you will enjoy your Crysta, and also the price hike that is going to happen in January .
At the time of my purchase my sales executive suggested to go for Teflon coating after 6 months.

Congratulations on your booking. You researched a lot and I am sure that you know a lot more about Crysta, than many other owners .

Full invoice value for the first year. Will take an informed call from 2nd year on.

I'll be taking delivery in 2 days time with a temporary registration. The permanent registration will be done in 2018.

Don't go for the bull bars. It affects the safety of your car. I don't like the rear bike protector because it is not covered under insurance. And with a reasonable hit from behind, both the bike protector and bumper will break. Bumper can be replaced without any cost under insurance. But, you will end up spending another 10k in addition to the 10k you spend while purchasing this accessory. I don't believe in this idea at all.

Regarding IND number plate, I'm not aware of the dangers of it. But, my wife is in favour of having a clean plastic white number plate with 3d letters on it. So, I'll be going for that.

I'll highly recommend against going for non Toyota accessory since it can void your warranty. Yes, the TKM official list is overly priced. But, I would still recommend to stick with them for peace of mind later on.

Between, I went for the PDI today and got to see our car in real. It's December 2017 manufactured. As per the sales person, it is manufactured 4 days before which ironically falls on my birthday.

Congrats on your purchase and nice to see 17'ers making a comeback. Would suggest you to upgrade the speakers. The stock one's are bad, very bad!

Let me have the pleasure of congratulating you, Amalji. Touring sport series is definitely a looker, and had I been in the market for an auto I'd have bought the same colour as yours. I hope you have a great time driving it.
Isn't auto headlamp already a feature in the car?

Thanks. This helps.

I am planning to go for the PDI today. The PDI checklist shared in this forum will certainly help.

Congratulations to you, amalji & others getting the Crysta. In Bihar, I see no discounts on Fortuner, Crysta has a bit of discounts for December.
Thank-you!

The PDI checklist link you shared is also very helpful.

Took delivery of my new White Pearl Crystal Shine, AT, Toyota Innova Touring Sport, today.

I really do want to thank the Team BHP forum members for a lot of detailed information, thoughts and ideas posted herein, which really helped me. I have been closely following the “Toyota Innova Crysta: Official Review” thread all this time. GTO has done an amazing job with his initial post, at the start of this thread - THANK-YOU!

I also really appreciate all the help of those Team BHP members who responded to my recent queries regarding the Toyota Innova. Your respective thoughts & suggestions really helped me immensely as I was finalizing on the Toyota Innova Touring Sport.

Posting a few pictures that were taken from my mobile phone. More details to follow; on my research journey, options considered and final buying decision; in my subsequent posts.

Great to know! I also took my Touring Sport for a long drive yesterday, but nowhere close to 700 kms, like you did.

Yes I agree, that the start-stop feature is a very nice addition. Recently, I drove a rental Jeep Grand Cherokee in the US, which had the same feature. The cruise control is also a great feature. I have been using it for the past many years, including the one on my current 2012 Honda City V MT and really find it useful on long drives.

Re: Toyota Innova Crysta : Official Review

Finally got home my Innova GX 2.8. The automatic is such a boon to drive in Mumbai and so far I am getting 10 kmpl in Mumbai traffic which ofcourse is too early to comment on. BTW what's the ideal tyre air pressure to be maintained? I think think these are over inflated as I am getting a bouncy ride.

Toyota insists 33psi on all tires.

Re: Toyota Innova Crysta : Official Review

Earlier this month took delivery of a Crysta 2.8Z AT in Attitude Black Colour to replace the 2014 Innova V used by my father. I would also want to know the ideal tyre pressure that should be maintained as the 33psi recommended by Toyota makes it quite bouncy.
