Re: Driven: 2017 Mercedes E-Class

Hi Guys,

My friend is purchasing a 2021 V213. Would be real helpful if you could answer his queries.

"I am planning to get an E 200.
1) Have any of you tried the star agility program? Please share your experience.
2) Anything I should be wary of in the program?
3) I am also interested to know how the buyback value of the car can change.

Thanks."

Re: Driven: 2017 Mercedes E-Class

Hi,

Can someone please throw light on the speakers/system that is used in the 2017-2019 e200 (non burmester). How many speakers, output, quality etc.

Also, it’s a non touch infotainment screen but can the software be updated to the last ear version that we see in the current version of the car?

New Mercedes E class - Accessories / Detailing suggestions

Hi,

I will be booking a new E200 Black in January. Have already blocked the car.

Wanted the forum's guidance on what accessories and treatments I should go for. I will get floor mats included anyway

1. Accessories.

a. Have 2 young kids. so thinking of ipad holders in the back.
b. Hub caps? They look good but any practical issues?
c. Tool kit (ack, lug wrench, wheel centring bolt, chock, shim plate, gloves.)
d. Dashcam (Front or rear?)

2. Coating/Cover?
I got a 3M covering done for my X5. Its ok but now in Y5 its starting to peel away and show up. Has probably saved me from 3-4 scracthes in the bumper area

Is Ceramic coating necessary? If so 3M or Wurth? What does it typically cost?

Any other accessories or treatment you recommend?

Thanks for your advice

Do fit the dash cam
Not sure how you fit hubcaps on alloy wheel. Avoid as brakes need ventilation.
Go for Ceramic costing + PPF on bumpers. Avoid PPF on bodywork especially if car is a light colour as it yellows. Also if you remove PPF, you might need to get a respray.
Tool kit - notarially necessary unless you travel on bad roads.
