Me and my friends had ridden/driven to an altitude of 7,000 feet. I had ridden my bike but in the morning when everyone was sleeping, I sneaked out with the Tucson keys.

# Hill crawl works.
# Traction control [over] works.

Climbing up, the auto works good, but while climbing down, I prefer the manual mode. I would prefer a bit more approach angle as the lip [wind deflector part, the rubber one] does scrape. Rest was all good.

I'm looking to upgrade from Creta Petrol MT to Tucson Diesel AT. But the talk of imminent facelift launch is holding me back. I would rather wait for 4-6 months than to repent later

Btw, I've confirmed news on upcoming optional - (O) pack. There will be 4 new features - Sun roof, Wireless Charger, Auto Link and one more (don't recall it ) It will be offered as a new variant GL(O). Also, GLS variant (at least Diesel) will get these new features too.

Tuscon facelift is expected around May 2019. So you can expect Hyundai may play with some features to keep the ball rolling till facelift.

Just visited a Hyundai showroom and it is confirmed that Hyundai has Launched a New Variant called GL(O) with panoramic sunroof, wireless charger and auto link. The premium for this O variant is roughly 74k from the GL Variant and these features have also been added to the GLS variant as well.

Do we know if there is either a manual or electric seat height adjuster for the front passenger seat? This was the biggest issue with the Tucson as the passenger seat was set too low.

AFAIK there is no height adjustment possible for the passenger seat and its still very low compared to the driver seat.

ACI says Sunroof will not be available on Diesel GLS variant.

The Tucson petrol now gets a panoramic sunroof in the new GL (O) variant and the top-spec GLS automatic trim. The diesel model, however, only gets this feature on the new GL (O) variant, and not on the top-spec GLS trim.

While Cartoq seems to indicate Sunroof will be made available with Diesel GLS too.

It will be the new top-of-the-line variant and will be known as the GLS+. With the additional features, the price of the new variant will be Rs. 60,000 more than the current GLS variant, which is the most expensive in the line-up. The new variant will launch before Diwali

When I checked back with the Dealer, I'm told they expect to receive variant details in 2-3 days.

My wife is very eager to upgrade from MT (Creta Petrol) to AT (Tucson Diesel) to save herself from Bengaluru traffic woes at the earliest. While we are expecting GLS-4WD to get Sunroof, if ACI news turns out to be true, it will be a huge letdown for us

Later it struck me that, when I had been to the showroom last week, sales executive had shown me the new variant list in his Phone which he had received a day or two back from Hyundai. As far as I could recall, Diesel GLS/4WD was also listed to have Sunroof option. I just called him up and requested him to go over the list again. He confirmed that it is indeed so

Waiting for the official launch now !
