Re: Maruti Ignis : Official Review

Updated Ignis coming soon.

Quote:
The new Ignis will not see much change in terms of design but will receive updated features. For one, it will now get roof rails on the top variants. It could get a new color scheme and body graphics as part of the update

Re: Maruti Ignis : Official Review

New Ignis reaches dealerships, deliveries anticipated next week.

The largest automaker in the country has included roof rails for the first time in the Ignis range and other features are to improve the safety quotient and stick by the new regulations.
It will have co-driver seat belt reminder and high-speed warning system as standard. Moreover, the infotainment system is also new in the MY 2019 Ignis. The Delta grade gains seatbelt reminder, speed alert and reverse parking sensors while the Sigma variant comes equipped with reverse parking sensors and seatbelt reminder in addition to the existing features. The top-spec Zeta, on the other hand, comprises co-driver seat belt reminder, speed alert and grey roof rails.

Re: Maruti Ignis : Official Review

I am unable to spot any changes on the outside, apart from the roof rails. This looks more like a variant re-jig and addition of some features mainly to comply with the upcoming government regulations.

Re: Maruti Ignis : Official Review

I still believe that Ritz was a great proposition compared to Ignis.

Standing on present day market, I must forget the existence of Ritz and talk about Ignis.

- The tyres look very puny. MSIL could have introduced beefy tyres in top end. It will sure look handsome.

-Some nice artistic touch in the rear should do magic to this otherwise handsome design.

Re: Maruti Ignis : Official Review

The roof rails look out of place. Butchers a rather smart-looking car (except the quirky rear end).

Re: Maruti Ignis : Official Review

So for Zeta and Alpha variants, there are more or less no changes except for those afterthought roof rails. I was expecting atleast the ACC in the Zeta variant now.

I feel really happy and satisfied now that I got the "pre updated" Zeta MT a few months ago for 5.1 lakhs OTR Delhi.

Not only I saved on the necessary expenses like tyre change, shocker replacement etc on my 12 year old Esteem but also got a lot of discounts which wouldn't have been quite possible now.

Cheers!

Re: Maruti Ignis : Official Review

The new ignis does not come with new infotainment system from the wagonr/baleno.

So the "premium" nexa car continues with old unit even in its "refreshed" avatar while the cheaper wagon r gets a better infotainment system. Why Maruti Suzuki?

Re: Maruti Ignis : Official Review

Maruti, how about a 4WD IGNIS? since you are anyways not getting in JIMNY.

This will boost its image as a Mini-SUV vehicle and also give people waiting for JIMNY a practical alternate.
IGNIS can thus be differentiated from Wagon R more clearly.

Re: Maruti Ignis : Official Review

A quick query. I have taken delivery of my Ignis and I love the car so far

But the steering doesn't return to center and I nearly rammed the road divider when I did my first U turn :P

Its a little disconcerting to drive but I am slowly getting used to it.

However I have hardly seen this mentioned anywhere. Is it a common issue or is there something wrong with my car ?

TIA

Congratulations on your new car.

Some people have reported that the steering doesn't center on its own. You can find the mention here on this thread.

It is a Maruti car trait, common with most Marutis.
