Hi guys,

Just wanted your advise. I am planning to get a 2018 Compass 1.4 Limited (O) Petrol with 52k on the Odo for 14lacs. Is it good price ?
I test drove the vehicle and it seemed well maintained, but are there any specifics I should check (maybe common long term issues that might cost me big bucks) ?

Really appreciate your help on this !

Did PDI yesterday. No visible issues with the car. All set for the weekend delivery :)

The car looks smashing. Attached a couple of pics.

Hi Everyone,

I have recently become a proud owner of White Nighteagle, Diesel Compass, manual. Have driven around 300 kms. I have noticed excessive vibration of gear lever, when there is a slight mismatch between the gear and the speed. I need opinion of you fellow compass owners if it's normal.

Regards

Has jeep sorted all the rattles and niggles in the new cars ?

Anyone facing the issues in cars bought recently ?

I've got the dashboard rattle in my May 22' Compass S. It's infuriating and I can't seem to see what is triggering. There seems to be another rattle coming from the left front door, but its not as frequent and is not too loud to be bothersome, either.

Became a proud owner of Compass 1.4 Limited (O) Auto just yesterday. Currently it's in Jaipur but I plan on bringing it to Mumbai after Diwali. Looking forward to playing around with it

I have started getting a squeaky sound from the dashboard whenever the car is going over rough roads, potholes or those crazily constructed Pune city speed breakers. the squeaks continue as long as the car is negotiating bad roads.

Recently i went on a drive to Pawana dam and returned via Lonavla. The squeaks were continuous in that entire broken road section from Pawana lake to Dudhiware khind. As soon as the road became smooth the squeaking stopped.

Mine is a MY April 2022 sport 1.4 MT petrol compass with almost 2900km on the ODO.

Found this during delivery day PDI for compass, is it something that will cause trouble few years down the line.

I think it's okay.

Also found some paint chips and scratches during delivery day PDI on jeep compass.

I don't think they would repaint the whole panel or the door. Some touch-ups should be fine.

Not yet on my Mar '22 manufactured Compass Sport petrol DCT, even on bad roads. Was trying to keep keen ears just in case they creep up as many have mentioned.

Got this beauty delivered yesterday! Attaching a few pics :)

This is very disconcerting - any update on the reason behind these watermarks?

Nope. Never. I am careful with the sunroof. Took the car to the Gurgaon Landmark service center this Saturday. They spent around 4 hours opening the sunroof, checking the pipes, spraying water and testing for any leak. Nothing came up. According to them there is no leak. I am confused.

Meanwhile, my Jeep Life app has been fixed. They took the module out and remotely fixed it. The chap from Jeep Service came home and got the job done.

Anyway, this aside, this variant is going to cost me around 30.5L, which is way beyond my initial budget of 28L and plus this is a Petrol , so running costs are going to be really high.

Any feedback and thoughts on this Petrol automatic? I can wait even a year for the XUV700 diesel AT, so not in any hurry really. I intend to keep this car for at least 6 years, so is it right choice considering it’s already 5 years old?

Hi Motorwork,

I believe, Jeep India is soon going to launch their own old cars exchange network, which means better exchange value certainly. When exactly, I am not sure about though.

Regards

That's surprising! Did you by any chance drive with the windows ever-so-slightly open (which people normally do in order to avoid fogging etc.) during rains and did not realise?

By the pictures, it looks like it seeped in from the window and that then percolated upto the A pillar.

Exactly. That’s what I thought as well when I saw the marks. But I am sure I did not keep the windows open and that too only on one side.
