Yup. Velvex is the brand they use. The low DEF warning is set a tad too early and pops up even when there is a bar and half left on the indicator. I got my warning at around 3500km and did the top up.

Costs Rs. 486 for a 5L can. Which seems about avg market price. Not sure how other adblue brands are priced. I've kept a spare can at home.

Re: Jeep Compass : Official Review

Guys. Advice needed. I’m getting A Jeep Compass 2.0 Limited plus. 2018 model, 28K kms done. It’s a 2Wd.

Price is 13.5 Lakhs. Car is first owner too.

Should i go ahead or pass?
I’m on the lookout for a car with a reliable and long lasting engine. If i buy, i plan to keep it for 4-5 years and drive it close to 1.5-2 lakh kms. Please advise

Check out Blaupunkt Velocity and/or Bosch Clear Advantage. Both have graphite coated rubber and last long

Please do not that the car is due for its second service and and most probably the owner would not have taken extended warranty. Additionally these two should cost you close to 50k.

Price looks decent for a Limited Plus version and the running is less too. Make sure to do a proper test drive and also it would be good to have the extended warranty.

Re: Jeep Compass : Official Review

Wow. I think Jeep has upped the oomph factor compared to its counterparts, seems to even rival the premium segments in some aspects of instrumentation etc.

Re: Jeep Compass : Official Review

Initially I had doubts on the new green colour, but it looked good on the launch video.

It's good that Jeep has extended the electronic seat adjustability to passenger side as well + memory function for 2 + ventilated seats which will be a huge plus in our humid/hot conditions.

And they retained the fully digital instrument cluster as well in our Indian model.

Only thing I wish is that they should properly tune the 9 speed Auto in the diesel variants. And that they do a price correction as well. Ok that makes it 2 wishes.

P.S.: That placement of EPB switch is awkward or down-right dangerous. Imagine a kid sitting in the passenger side and "accidentally" pulling that while taking a phone from that wireless phone charger.

Re: Jeep Compass : Official Review

So guys my December bought JC has a VIN that ends with *9L, which would mean it was manufactured in September right? But my RC mentions the month as October 2020. I asked the dealer he said the portal automatically picks up the Month, etc.

A bit confused here. Help please.

Limited Option came with Bi-Xenon head lamps and dual tone (black roof). Not sure if there is any other difference.

The only differences in my case were:
• HID headlamps
• Contrast black roof
• Expedited delivery

It cost more than the sum of the two accessories at after market rates, @ ₹75k.
