Re: Tata Nexon : Official Review

The video relates to the following two points (mentioned quite a lot of times in the thread) :-

1. TATA Cars known for their niggles. (One of the reasons for majority of people having a second thought on Tata cars)

2. Niggles can be there in any newly launched product. But its the way those niggles are dealt with is what makes or breaks a car or rather a Brand.

About the Video:-

The guy was having some rattling issue with the rear windows of his Nexon. He went to the service centre but they couldn't (or did not want to) rectify the problem and added that it is a production problem with Nexon. He made a video about it, mocking the TASS.

Now in the comments, I was shocked to see that Tata Motors had replied to this video, assuring rectification of the issue. Later you will read that the guy commented that his problem was solved. I was just blown away by the efforts Tata Motors is putting in for customer satisfaction. Tata Motors reached him Suo Moto and that too on a YouTube video.

If acts like these do not create a trust for the Manufacturer, then I don't know what will.

Is the "activity key" something different from the wearable one that you have?

Makes me wonder why are dealerships like this.It seems tata and dealerships are going in 2 separate paths altogether.Whenever Tata keeps a step on right side their own dealerships make sure they take a step in spoiling it.Again Tata Motors has to intervene in solving every single petty issues.Hope I see a day where dealerships become as determined as Tata motors.

Re: Tata Nexon : Official Review

Hi Abhi, Let me clarify. I'm already using an Apple Watch so would I wear another 'instrument' on the wrist? This accessory wont fly off the shelves is what I'm guessing. There wont be many takers at 4K, each.

RavenAvi would you happen to know the price of sunroof including fitment ? I see a picture of the sunroof but couldn't see the price in the table provided.

Also any update on the wrist band accessory? Couldn't note the price of that also.

Re: Tata Nexon : Official Review

Added the side step accessory, after a three-month wait. It's not for looks alone but functional - as my parents can climb in easily now. All accessories are in short supply, Tata Motors need to step up. Got door handles chromes and a boot lip. Looks premium now!

I will take delivery of the car next week.

Nexon is sure a head turner on roads!
I own a Zest XM D 90.

I found that the Nexon appears to be less roomy than the Zest during a very very brief test drive.

Is it only me or is it true?

Looks good! How much you paid for the boot lip?

Re: Tata Nexon : Official Review

Thanks, Mate. The lip cost me Rs.1,520. This is one piece I'd definitely recommend. And there's a front lip as well, just like in the Jeep Compass :-)

The side-step and boot-lip are very useful. The handles are giving the side-panels a nice break too.

( Wish Tata had given a boot-lip for the Storme, but guess the numbers are small :( )

Not everyone can make a video or tweet their grievances to any manufacturer.

But I am really pleased to see Tata go the extra mile to gain customer trust. The issue is with dealers like those or like the one we have here, If I had to buy a car in ~10L, I would simply buy the Nexon, don't really like its design, but I am impressed with it as a product.

Re: Tata Nexon : Official Review

Atlast, took delivery of my Nexon D, xz+ Grey, yesterday.

First Impressions :
  • DRL is bright!
  • Its a breeze to drive over small potholes and humps.
  • A sure head turner
  • USB port and Aux port are accessible only to ants and aliens. Not for humans.
  • Tata should have provided door pockets.
  • Personally feel, the throw of higbeam is shorter.

Overall loving it.

Hi Jithu,

Congrats once again.

Can you please elaborate on this? Door pockets are already there, so what are you referring to?

Sorry, that was my bad. What i meant to say is storage pockets behind the front seats.

@Admins
Is it possible to edit my post for changing "door pockets" to " storage pockets behind the front seats".

USB Port and Aux Port is not only accessible from front but has two side holes both the side so you can put your wires from there.
