Re: Tata Nexon : Official Review

Yes i received the second key and it is quite some process where they took about 3 hours to have it mapped to the car along with the existing key. I do know that it takes some time to map but not this long.

Re: Tata Nexon : Official Review

Anyone got some insider news regarding next update to Nexon(be it a facelift 2.0 or platform change or engine update)?

I am in the market for a car next year. There are few things i don't like in Nexon otherwise it ticks most of the boxes. So, please share if you got something?

Re: Tata Nexon : Official Review

A question to nexon owners -

Has anyone experienced a squeaking sound inside the cabin on the passenger side when driving over uneven roads ?

When complained about it during the service, SC says that it is something in the B-pillar and some welding is needed. They also mentioned it is a common problem that people are experiencing.

Is it true that this is a common issue in nexon ?
My vehicle was purchased in 2021. Just 1.5 yrs old and VERY sparingly used.

Is this always? Or when there is a passenger actually occupying the passenger seat? If the later - its actually the spring-like supports inside/below the seat-base that are the culprits. Have seen this in many Nexons and this does happen once in a while in my car too.

Thank you Reinhard.

I have observed it only when there is a passenger in the seat and it is quite annoying when it happens.
I also feel the frequency has increased after visit to service center - may be just in my head.

Do you know anyone who has got it fixed ?

One of the people I knew - had got the front passenger seat changed (before Covid hit). Haven't heard of anyone having taken actions about it in my known circle.

I experience this once in a blue moon, so isn't a big issue for now. If it gets too frequent and irritating - I intend to remove the seat and check it myself. But no timelines yet as its a very low priority item.

Did anyone received second key for your vehicle recently?

I checked with SA and he said it is not available yet. My vehicle is April 2022 make and first 2 services are over.
Finally received second key. It took good 2 hours to register the key. TAMO server was down for almost 1 hour. I don't understand why TAMO is not putting effort to fix all these issues.

Hi Manoj,

I was experiencing squeaking sound in my Nexon also on roads which were any less than ideal. Purchased in 2021 September, my car runs a lot though, and currently stands at 19k kms. The sound seems to be coming from inside the cabin but its actually from the suspension. At least that was the situation in my case. The faulty parts were changed under warranty at 13k kms. The car is silent at present. You can go through my posts for in depth discussion which I had posted in this thread itself. Hope it helps your cause too.

Re: Tata Nexon : Official Review

Hi

I have got my front two seats replaced under warranty during my third service. I had been raising this even during the PDI that the recliner lever gets stuck and not working smoothly.

My vehicle had been pulling to the left from day 1 and nothing is fixed yet. Got my wheel alignment & balancing, steering calibration done at the TASS. No relief yet. While this process was going on, Katak Katak sound started coming and TASS replaced the front RH Strut and still the noise was there and they casually said, lets try to change the link rod and find it out. If that dosent solve the problem, then they will go for steering column it seems.

I have completed 22k Kms and no other major issues so far. complained about the horn and it was never fixed. I just changed it to trumpet horn and am so relieved now.

Off late I am noticing, Fuel lid cover doesn't open / close easily

Re: Tata Nexon : Official Review

Hi,

I have made a booking for Nexon XM Petrol on August 8th at Key Motors, Mysore road, Bangalore. But as of now, there has been no word on allocation and every time I talk to the SA, he gives me a new date on which I can expect some news.

Says, the production happens in slots (slots of variants), and XM variant production has been less hence the delay.

Is there any truth to this? And what other steps can I take to speed up my car's delivery?

Thanks in advance!

Reinhard, for the Dash cam, after connecting the +ve to the fuse, where do you recommend is the best metal part to hook up the ground?

Hey, the screw mounting the cabin fuse panel, is a good point. I am using that as the grounding for all my electronic additions in the cabin.

This image from one of my threads should help. Its the one marked by blue rectangle.
