Tata are testing the AMT VERSION of nexon which I believe the one you witnessed. Yes you are right why have a camouflage on a car which will have all the changes under the hood. I guess they are following protocols disguising new cars as all the other manufacturers do.

Re: Tata Nexon : Official Review

While we are debating on the launch of the Nexon AMT, it appears that Amazon already has products for the AMT variant.

P.S: Amazon allows selection of AMT variant only.

Mods, pls delete if not relevant.

OMG! That might be the game changer. I was planning to go for the dual tone blue however this post made me think otherwise.
I am now thinking to check this beauty before concluding. Thanks a ton RavenAvi for sharing this.

The dual-tone contrast roof option is available on the topmost XZ+ variant of the Nexon, and commands a premium of ~Rs 20,000/- over the equivalent single tone Nexon XZ+.

The same has been added in the updated official brochure and website.
Thanks RavenAvi! I am patiently waiting for AMT to arrive and in the meantime was researching on how to make the Calgary White Dual Tone matching it with the grey ceramic! It is as if TML went inside my head and came out with the offering! Kudos to them. I just can't wait to book the top end diesel AMT variant the moment it launches (now in Calgary White Dual tone). I think it will look absolutely smashing on the road and might just even trump the Glasgow Grey! If someone can just confirm when will dealers start to take the bookings for AMT!

Re: Tata Nexon : Official Review

About to take the delivery of my XZ+ Petrol (Glasgow Grey). Super excited!
Completed extensive PDI and demo yesterday (thanks to Team BHP's PDI checklist) and came back satisfied. All though noticed a rather poorly finished roof lining just at point where it meets the front windscreen and it runs across the entire length of windscreen. If you run your fingers at the meeting point of windscreen and roof lining and run through the length of windscreen, the edges are rather rough and looks like the fabric has not been cut and pasted abruptly.
I thought that this is only in the vehicle allocated to me so I asked to see the demo vehicle in the showroom and there was another XZ+ getting ready for delivery. I was surprised to see this in all the three vehicles. Could other Nexon owners please confirm if this is in fact the case?

Re: Tata Nexon : Official Review

Guys and nexon owners could anyone upload a nexon specific tbhp checklist please ?

My nexon would arrive anytime now and a nexon specific checklist for pdi would be utterly useful.

Thanks a lot for posting the pictures. It really looks good, white on top of Grey. Now it doesn't matter whether it is matte or glossy, could you get some more details regards to the cost for vinyl wrap and where it was done. Nexon owners in Chennai may recommend places where they do it. Chennai is nearer to me. Those already have taken delivery of white Nexons can think of Grey vinyl wrap on top, to make it Dual Tone!

Re: Tata Nexon : Official Review

Proud to be a part of the Nexon family!

Got the delivery yesterday. Overall a pretty happy experience saving few raised eyebrows by wife and I due to the car not being cleaned to our satisfaction even though I specifically pointed out the areas to be cleaned thoroughly (dust on insides of doors and few spots on roof linings and what appeared to be a manufacturing issue on rear ceramic strip, it turned out that dust had settled on the wax they had applied earlier). However after expressing the displeasure a couple of times to SA/TL, the car was cleaned thoroughly inside out to our satisfaction!
Apart from a couple of faint scratch marks on center console (just beneath the handbrake), the car looks good. Guess, I should have seen this before the vehicle was allocated to me, nothing much can be done now.

Looking forward to creating memories with new addition to our family !

I don't think there is any document specific to a car! You can ask other owners what to look out for while inspecting the Nexon. Then again, stuff like roof fabric, ceramic inserts, etc can be applicable to other cars as well.
Hence, nothing specifically for this car is what i feel.

Re: Tata Nexon : Official Review

My beloved Nexon gives me a lot of work in the morning. The 'largish' gaps in the bonnet accumulate a lot of dust and debris. The windscreen crevices are just sucking everything in, I feel. Use an ear bud on these areas :-)

Sebring, You could try some of the windshield sealant along that gap. Check with service centre. While that gap helps drain rain-water, filling the gap may actually fortify the sealant from future leaky spots.

Congrats, known_guy ! Wishing you a long happy ownership of the Nexon !

This one is going to be a lifetime's work :( . It's one area that I have complained the most after any work at TASS, and I dont see an end to it.

That roof has help up well!
When it flips, if anything it is at least bearing the weight of the car - not to mention the additional force when it does flip.
Would really like to know the cause though

Glad to know occupants escaped without a single scratch.

Re: Tata Nexon : Official Review

Tata is growing a lot faster than its other rivals.

But the problem is using 3 Cylinder engines in such heavy vehicles. They are compromising power for efficiency.
All the 3 cylinder cars have a very poor engine life.
