Re: Tata Nexon : Official Review

XZ seems to be missing the following things from XZ+:

1. Tambour door with front armrest
2. Alloy Wheels
3. Fog lamps with cornering assist
4. Rear seat armrest with cup holders
5. 60:40 split folding rear seat
6. Rear defogger
7. Start/Stop Button
8. Rear fog lamp

It should do well, this variant. I just wish they had provided rear wash/wipe and defogger. Right between XT & XZ+ this will be a very VFM proposition.

Finally! Wouldn't it also be the first AMT delivered?

I don't think that's an automatic. It has to be the manual.
Looks really great and am sure it'll be well taken care of by our spy master!

Thank you, Doc saab.

Nope. I went for the XZ+ manual, as the AMTs have been indefinitely postponed due to additional testing of the petrol AMT.

Wikipedia tells me that CYGNUS is:

a northern constellation lying on the plane of the Milky Way, deriving its name from the Latinized Greek word for swan. The swan is one of the most recognizable constellations of the northern summer and autumn, and it features a prominent asterism known as the Northern Cross (in contrast to the Southern Cross). Cygnus was among the 48 constellations listed by the 2nd century astronomer Ptolemy, and it remains one of the 88 modern constellations.
Congrats on the red-black beauty. Wish you a happy, trouble free and enriching ownership experience.

OT: That the resident Coeus of team-bhp has endorsed the Nexon should, in a way, put to rest most of the misgivings of the Tataphobics.

Hi all, those who followed my earlier posts will know I faced a check engine light issue from day 1. Now that's resolved with some software update. Now the second issue has popped up in 1.8k kilometers.

When I start the car, accelerate on first gear and release the accelerator, there is a small dak noise from under body of the car. No idea what this is and am driving 500 kms tomorrow.

Please advise.

Just double check if the stepney is placed firmly in position. Try removing it out a bit and putting it back if you have doubts.

If it occurs only in the first gear, it could be clunk noise from the half shafts, do get the service centre guys to check for the play in the half shaft splines.

I have seen a very similar issue during product development for another OEM.

- images & videos playback,
- voice alerts for various functions,
- reverse camera,
- day & night IRVM,
- driver seat height adjustment,
- adjustable front seatbelts.

Thank you, gk.93. It's the 1.5L Revotorq.

Thank you, dailydriver. I hope it's Coeus the wise you referred to, not Coeus the conspirator!

Brought our Cygnus home earlier in the evening today.

Dad & daughter have been having a blast with the absolutely fabulous Harman system of the Nexon since then till supper time, when both of us slowly climbed out of the Cygnus with heavy hearts and heavier feet, to call it a night!

No clarity on variants, features and price
I couldn't agree more, I sometimes wonder if Tata is in cahoots with their dealers. The dealer accepts booking and Tata neither stops them, nor denies or announces the delivery dates. Whereas the truth all along was that they were simply not ready with the AMT. Why else would a manufacturer pass on such a golden opportunity to ride on the success of the Nexon manual.

Not sure about losing the plot, it surely has started to thicken though. Many like me had booked the AMT blindly, regretfully its cancelled now due to exactly the same reasons mentioned by you and anuragverma666.

Re: Tata Nexon : Official Review

I have booked Nexon Revotorq XZ+ in Glasgow Gray!

Did manage to get the handling charges written off and also managed to get them to match insurance price to Rs. 22,000 which is what I saw on policybazar. They did that with a bit of hesitation but finally agreed on that. I have to now confirm what IDV is shown on their offer. Vehicle is in stock it seems. I am going for a quick PDI today and look forward to seeing it in flesh! Loan process has begun and I may have the car by next weekend.

Any Nexon specific PDI recommendations?

is still some time away. Maybe during/after AMT launch or when Nexon completes 1 year in September as an Anniversary Edition model feature.

Re: Tata Nexon : Official Review

Nexon XM with the matt black roof wrapping giving it an upmarket look. The chrome add ons could have been avoided though. The XM variant is still value for money even after the recent price hike at 9.08lak on road Hyderabad for the diesel variant.
