Thank you everyone for the prompt reply on price details.

Yes, painting is the area they are going to rip me off, I am aware of that. Any idea, what is the original color of the bumper?

Call up your SA and ask him the exact amount on the phone.
Yes, I am also expecting in the range of 8K - 12 K, hoping insurance would take care of majority of them (b2b 0 depreciation).
I will contact HASS around next week as the workload reduces and get the detail. Also, need to see the part availability and time they would need to hold up to my car. What makes me wonder, how come the bumper got that kind of hole in what it seems as just a bump rather than a dash.

Anyway, will update as it moves.

Easy. The silencer is extremely hot. The bumper is just plastic. The silencer melted your bumper on contact.

The bumper is matt black in colour, like you'll see in base variants of a few other cars.

If you do not want to use insurance, check with a reliable FNG - I have never paid more than 6k for bumper + painting for 2013 Verna, and I had 3 bumper replacements until I sold it last month. And two of those where in HASS in Madras.

If the part cost of the bumper has shot up, then there's pretty much nothing you can do though, but checking with a FNG will at least give you a comparison.

Yes sir. It uses the HB3 9005 55W halogen bulbs. Similar setup as stock in the Creta.

I've upgraded it to Morimoto D2S 5500k HID bulbs with projectors.

Does it void the warranty? Can it be done without any wire changes? And at Hyundai itself? Laymen questions, still. I have not much knowledge about bulb replacement.

Re: Hyundai Verna : Official Review

Folks

I wanted to know if the Verna Diesel SX(O) comes with a single remote key or two. I'm asking on behalf of a pal who has borrowed one recently from his pal who's on a foreign stint. And does it have an embedded key within?

It's an October 2018 model.

Warranty shouldn't be void as no wires have been spliced and everything done is plug and play in terms of wiring.

You can go through the process and all details in my DIY thread here.

Re: Hyundai Verna : Official Review

Also, Hyundai official accessory list for Verna shows HID headlamps with fog for INR 26500 (without adding GST plus labour, I suppose). Is it a replacement for the halogen projector and fog lights with the LEDs? Anyone here with idea about this?

Thank you. One more question. Does the car come with a Fast Tag on it? If yes, where is it placed? How to charge it?

Or does one have to procure one, like most of us did for our older cars.

As per the rule, Fastag is mandatory from December, 2017. Basically, dealership would collect money from you and procure it on your behalf from their preferred vendor. You can check with dealer to have your preference on vendor.

It will be placed at usual place on front wind screen by the dealer before registration.

Once activated, dealership would share with you the account details and you can top up and use.

I am not sure, whether one can self-procure for new car. You can check with dealership. But, certainly you can mention your preferred vendor to your dealer.

Anyway, will update as it moves.
Continuing from my previous incident of bumper being melted by an RE, I finally checked with Hyundai AS service center. Price quoted were approximately Rs 12000/- for entire task without insurance and approximately Rs 3000/-, if insurance is claimed. Time taken for entire task should be 3-4 days. What a waste of money and resources.

Well, can anyone please confirm this? Because the website is again showing this not available in SX variant. Sometime in november, website was updated with SX variant feature list mentioning KESS with smart key. Now, again it is missing.

I saw and drove the one in December. Do not know if they have changed it again in 2019.
