Thanks for the nice review. I've one clarification.

Can this H-Band be charged by placing the band on the wireless charger in SX(O) variant?
Thanks.

No, as per my discussion with the dealer, it does need a cable. I haven't tried it myself though.

No. It has to be charged with the USB cable only. Wireless charging can be used only for smartphones with the feature enabled.

Re: 2018 Hyundai Creta Facelift : Official Review

I don't like two things about the Creta: Price and missing features. Otherwise, it's the PERFECT car for a small family of 3 in Urban India.

And it looks like many are willing to make the compromise on features and pay a high price.

Some of their notable cars which defined their respective segments:
1. Accent: With the 1.5 diesel
2. i20: Instant success after the failure of the Getz(experiment.) The Jazz accelerated the success of the i20
3. Verna: With rising petrol costs, Verna took the game head on against the Honda city with a diesel engine (back in the day)
4. Creta: Waited for the Duster to settle and killed it overnight with the launch of the Creta.

Re: 2018 Hyundai Creta Facelift : Official Review

Picked up a Fiery Red 1.6E Plus petrol yesterday. First impression is super smooth engine (albeit still tight at 17km), excellent NVH control and pliable suspension.

Got the new OEM DRL+fogs also fitted for 7.6k. Smart move to reposition the DRLs to the fogs; Hyundai will sell them to lower variants in the millions now as compared to the integrated headlight ones earlier.

Congratulations on the buy. Looks great in red.

A quick query - Can you buy the top end Alloy wheels as an accessory for the lower variant?

Re: 2018 Hyundai Creta Facelift : Official Review

Great review, but I would still prefer the classic looks of the "Old-gen" Creta !

A question, can the OBD Scan tool work with the older Creta ? is it even available as an accessory or a part?

Well said. Plus, the Verna is newer and has more features. Still, crossovers appeal to the market's heart more than any other. See this message I read earlier today. Women love the Creta - she wouldn't even have noticed that a new Verna is on sale:

The petrol vs diesel price difference has always been significant with Hyundai's cars. Both engines are top class - buy based on your running, budget and love for torque. When budgeting, do factor in the diesel's superior resale & FE too.

From a casual chat, I believe the top end dual-tone alloys are not available but the normal ones are possible as a direct purchase from Hyundai. Did not really go into it as I am not interested.

Re: 2018 Hyundai Creta Facelift : Official Review

1. The sunroof can open wide enough so that 2 kids of age (7 and 4) can stand simultaneously?

2. Is petrol automatic available in the top end version? I know that diesel AT is available only till SX variant.

Re: 2018 Hyundai Creta Facelift : Official Review

The back of the old Creta looks FAR better than the facelifted one. The narrow line that runs through the taillights which houses the reverse lights and the indicators, as well as the bumper from the older car, just do a better job of dividing the visual bulk of the rear to give it a more squat look. That said, the nose on the facelift does look a lot more imposing.

Re: 2018 Hyundai Creta Facelift : Official Review

Brilliant review as always and thanks for picking up the blue shade for the review . Although I still prefer the old front end design, this new grille will definitely grow on you. But they could have avoided those holes/slots on the slats.

Glad to see they have added some basic features that were missing in the old model (MID functions, auto dimming IRVM, cruise control etc). All disc brakes, auto wiper/lights, ventilated seats would have made it a complete package (atleast for the premium pricing).

Seeing a lot on the road now but haven't seen any other color except white which is the favorite color out here .
